  • Well done on the run your so good to do that in this weather! My problem is I don't look unhealthy coz I'm only a size 10 so that makes me stay lazy if that makes sense but I am SO unhealthy :o I do no exercise. I did start some a while back and swiftly found excuses and stopped  I need to start again

Did you ring the CC about the fee and maybe upping the limit? They are open til late at night I think. Not that I'm pushy ;):D

Hey Km, exactly same as me - size 10 and don't look unhealthy, but I know I'm flabby (esp round the middle) and I'm rather unfit, but don't really look it so that's an excuse not to bother!!! I used to swim a lot and use my exercise bike and was much more toned, but not any more:o
Donna, you are soooo good to run in this weather...the thought of it just scares me!!

    Hello guys,
Just a mega quick post as am all over the shop this evening. Just been on the phone with my dad as my step mum has been taken to hospital and they don't know what is wrong with her. She gets very bad pancreitus (sorry cannot spell it) and has been ill with that and flu all over Xmas and is now having pains in her back and kidneys...my dad is all over the place and I feel like I am useless as don't know what to do or say :( I dunno...

Gonna pop down and see her on Saturday or maybe Friday if I can? I imagine I can take Emily as she isn't a baby and is pretty grown up. Does anyone know if there is a rule about taking kids? My brother was on about his son who is nearly 2 as doesn't think they will let him in? Anyone got any ideas? Their website is rubbish...nowt on there at all :(

  • Awe sorry to hear about your step mum. I think both kids will be fine as long as she is not in intensive care. If the 2 year is hard to keep still then maybe you will have to do a relay kind of the to entertain him but Emily will be fine. If you are still worried just ring the hospital reception they will let you know.

    I hope she improves quickly.

    KM x
  • Also don't feel useless where your dad is concerned. The best thing you can do is listen and let him talk, then just tell him you are there if he wants to call/talk anytime and if there is anything else at all you can help him with. There is nothing much else you can do and I am sure he will appreciate you letting him talk and offering your help and that will be enough for now.

Maybe check with work if you are allowed any special leave if you want to see her sooner and are worried.

Thanks KM, you are a star...as always!

Good news on the step mum front, they have found out that it is some sort of kidney / urine infection thing but are treating her for it on a drip and medication so she can expect to be out of hospital over the next couple of days...I am so happy she can come out soon so is my dad. So that is good!

Back at work today as no training now till Tuesday. Really don't want to be here :( But at least it is Friday!

Emily has annoced that she needs some neon clothes for her dance performance and needs them for next week so will have to pop down to dam Cabot Circus tomorrow. Am only gonna go in a few cheapo clothes shops and then come home as that way I won't be drooling over everything in the sales. She needs new trainers too and a few other bits so hopefully I can get them cheap. I really hate it when they need extra clothes for the sake of a show and that they need them NOW! So can't even get them from ebay :(

On a good note, stuff selling on ebay is nearing the £100 mark...yay! Have put a few more bits on and will continue to do so over the weekend! Can't wait to get the money and pop it onto the card!

    Hiya DK,
Thats good to hear your stepmum is on the mend and will be out soon...must be a relief:D
As for Emily....they are expensive these kids aren't they??!! Luckily I've not been stung for much recently, well apart from Xmas of course:eek: Mind you, all of he clubs my 2 do are due to be paid this month - gym at £80 for both of them, £20 Brownies for Em, £35 for both to do cheerleading and £40 Em's guitar lessons....so not cheap. Their dear father used to go halves with me, but not any more and I don't want to tell them they can't go just cos he wont pay, so I find the money;) Luckily gym and guitar lasts til Easter so wont pay again for a while. Good job I have no expensive hobbies really isn't it??!!
But they love their clubs and good for them to do the sporty ones and Em particularly loves playing an instrument so can't knock it.

That's me finished work for the week:beer: Glass of wine will be calling me later, home-made curry and evening on PC - :j :j :j

Blimin' heck MS, those clubs cost a bomb...I know what you mean about good job you have no expensive hobbies, there is soooo much stuff I would love to do but we have to put the kiddies first, will be great when they are older and we are rich!

My first day back at work today and I was so glad when it was over! Felt like I had been in there a hundred years it dragged on for so long!

Home made curry for me too :) had the turkey curry I made on Boxing day! Not bad but I think I have had enough turkey for a few months now! No wine for me though as am trying to be good...dunno how long it will last especially as I have 2 bottles of red left over from Xmas!

Good to hear about the girls and ebay! Yep, teaching them good!

Not much to report today fellow DFW peeps! Had a chilled weekend and am cooking a yummy roast in the oven for tea! Went to Asda and spent over my usual budget so need to look over my receipt and work out where I overspent and if there is anyway I can cut back?

Rest of this week should be relatively cheap ans spend free! On another course from Tuesday to Friday with free lunches again so that is all good! Have enough food for the whole week and petrol in the car so nowt to buy other than my dad's birthday card and pressie as it is nearly his birthday, will pop down and see them sometime over the weekend to say hello and see how my step mum is doing.

Some of my ebay things finish tonight. Withdrew one item as it had one watcher for 99p starting bid and thought I would rather give it to a friend than see it sell for that price! Other items going well and am looking at over £140 quid so far :) Get in! Will try and list a couple of things tonight as well! Dead chuffed with that!
