Nothing wrong with being focused in paying off your debt - you will be laughing when you are debt free and they are skint!

Hope so! I just get in a right state as non of them have any kinda money problems / kids / etc etc and I feel sooo grown up when it comes to people my own age. Don't get me wrong they are all fab just I have lived a completely different life to them all, debt and a 12 year old etc and I worry what everyone thinks of me and that all I do is worry about the price of everything...reckon I must be very boring to them :(

See here I go again! I am a nice person...why do I compare myself to everyone??? Grrrrrr!

Training is going ok but the cold weather is really tough to deal with - I long for spring, although that means it is almost marathon time, and I need a bit longer really!!!

I got a fab running jacket from jjb - £9.99....lovely flourescent yellow with reflective bits, but it is windproof and you don't sweat buckets in it, so it obviously has some sort of techie ventilating properties......zip up pockets too so I can put my door key and ipod in without worrying about them! I would def recommend it! Buy one before they go bust!

  • Scary isn't it...coming around so quick!!!

I have just checked and there are still spaces left for the Bath Half. I reckon if I pulled my finger out and started training again, could do it...10 weeks??? As long as I could pull of a 12 miler or so 2 weeks before??? Last year I hardly done any training whatsoever...was a right lazy moo :( and had a really cack run! My own fault there though :( Ooooooh!

Will have to check for one of those jackets then...they going bust as well? Gawd everyone is shutting down :( I really want one with a couple of zip pockets and one that I won't sweat loads in either!

Wow I've spent the last couple of hours reading through your thread and just want to say how well I think you're doing. Also a belated congratulations on passing your driving test! You've obviously got a lot of determination and seems to me that you're a great example for your daughter.

:hello: Hi there JC67! Thanks!

The driving test was a major biggie this year...8 attempts in total and some really, really bad failures made me very close to calling it a day, but I just knew I could do it and now I have my little car and the world is my oyster...ok maybe not the world but Bristol! That set me back a heck of a lot money wise, lessons and tests etc but is worth it now I have passed!

I need to stick with the determination really and stop giving myself such a hard time. I feel like I am wishing my life away sometimes and not cherishing every moment like I should do. I keep on looking to the future trying to work out when I will be debt free but I shouldn't wish my life away :o I need to chill out!

She is such a madam honestly, just stormed off as I was reading something on the internet and she wanted to go to a different page...I dunno! I want to try and spend more quality time with her in 2009 as think she is missing out a bit really :(

I am soooo looking forward to 2009! Here's to lots of happy times! :j

  • Hi Donna, nice to see you back here! Glad you had a good Christmas, we did here too, be a shame to go back to work on Monday:rolleyes:
As for the 12 yr old moods, G is just the same right now, I thoguht it was just my daughter but her friends' mums say exactly the same thing - they're growing up fast aren't they, especially since starting secondary.
I've been attempting to get myself organised for the New Year.....!! I have notebooks ready, challenges signed up to, so I'll be attempting to pay off as much of the debt as possible this year. I just really want to take the girls abroad, which won't be this year, but once I'm debt-free:j
Anyway, must try get an early night for once - my turn for a trip to Cribbs tomorrow with my sis, not spending much though, just a child free afternoon!!
I really need to sort out a new signature!

Maybe you should look back on what you've achieved this year and give yourself a pat on the back... passed driving test, bought car etc and all this while reducing the debt!:T
