Lovely about your birthday money Donna..Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?
Still lurking around with a hope of some salvation:cool:0 -
Hello everyone! Have had a mental few days but thought I really need to get my backside back on here for an update!
Gawd weather is rubbish here today! I went for a run earlier and wasn't hydrated enough and have managed to give myself the biggest headache ever
Have been to Tesco and brough the foodies for the week but overspent by £15 which I was not happy with
I had to buy some cleaning stuff and that is where the money went, as well as toiletries etc. Really need to try and keep the next weeks food bill down as much as I can ready for payday on the 27th as soooo want that dam Lloyds card gone!
Have been doing lots of tidying up and the house is slowly starting to get sorted out. I am off to clean the bathroom in a mo...yawn! Then a bit of cleaning up in my room too. I am trying to get everything sorted and keep the place a little cleaner, for my own sanity!
I am yet to spend the birthday money, bar the £10 I used to pay for that dress last week. I thought I may as well use it to pay myself back as it was a lovely dress and now I have a £150 left.
Not much more to update on really! Off to clean a little more and then give my dad a call and then chill out! My head is still banging so need to relax!
Will try and get back on here to search for some cheap recipes for the last week of foodies shop before payday...I know I can get this food bill down somehow!:j 'Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts' - DFW Nerd member 866 :j0 -

Hello everyone!
Hope we are all well! I seem to have a huge fight on my hands everytime I wanna get on the 'puter but have managed to pop on this morning...
Was planning on running in a race this weekend but doesn't look like it is gonna happen now so I am chilling today and gonna do a food shop and tomorrow my bro is coming over with my nephew and we are gonna pop to Cabot Circus for a browse...and no spend!!!
Gonna try and do a menu plan in a mo for this food shop. Was a bit owrried as thought I may be down on the money for the foodies but think I may be ok now? But need to double check. I have £8 of Tesco vouchers but thinking about saving them and having them quadrupled to use them in gifts instead, like a nice meal out or something? Need to read more into how that works!
I still haven't spent my birthday money as completely forgot I had it! There are lots of sales on at the mo so may get myself a few little bits for the house?
Can't wait till payday as am due a little extra back pay and overtime so the Lloyds card should be gone! I am only making minimum payments in December as am buying the Xmas pressies outright with cash rather than like every other year, putting them on the cards. Will be good! Not gonna go crazy though, so if anything is left I am gonna pay off towards the next card which will be the M & S Mastercard which I think is about £1800??? But need to double check.
Gonna be looking for a cheap Xmas tree soon too as am sure Buzzby broke the last one beyond repair last year, big lump! He fell into a box earlier and couldn't get out...he is such a silly cat!
Right off to check out the OS board for some meal plans...
Roll on Payday on Thursday....eeeeek!

Cabot Circus is soooo mental as it is always mega busy! They have so many shops...I popped down on Thursday evening as they are open till 8pm in the evenings, didn't buy anything just had a browse and dreamt of the day when I am debt free and can just wander on down and but whatever I want!!!
I had completely forgot about the birthday money! That's mad too!
Hope the College work is going well...my evening of tele sounds the same...X factor and I'm a Z list celeb...I have no idea who most of them are! I was on my own last night and it was soooo quiet it was odd! Nice but odd! xxx:j 'Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts' - DFW Nerd member 866 :j0 -
Donna, I hated it at first when girls would go away but I now look forward to weekends on my own! I guess weekdays are so hectic, no time to do anything after school apart from ferry girls to clubs, cook tea, tidy up, thats about it. So I love my 2 days of peace!
Today I'm going to meet my mum and stepdad at Chew Valley for coffee, then come home and carry on with the college work...I'm getting near the end of it:T
Have a lovely shopping trip;)I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
Gawd can't believe I have not been pn here since Saturday evening! Hope everyone is well!
Well payday tomorrow whoooooo! I have £350 left in the bank ready to pay to the card in the morning, leaving it at just under £150. £30 is the usual minimum payment for it so that leave about £120...and I am due some overtime and my backpay which I am sure will cover that amount...so hopefully by the weekend, the Lloyds card will be history!
Looking forward to attcking the M & S card in the quickest possible way, then will just be the last 2 biggies...which I am sure that HSBC will be happy to see eventually coming down!
All in all things are looking good! Have managed to get a few pressies and just need to pick up Emily's and order my step mums and boyfs...gawd he is sooooo hard to buy for!
Need a new Xmas tree though and a few other random bits and bobs so need to make myself a plan! This months wages will be a bit all over the shop as I plan to clear LLoyds and make minimum payments to the remaining 3 cards just so I can pay for Xmas and get all of that sorted! I ain't gonna go mental though, smallest spends where possible so if by a miracle there is anything left come December wages (which we get early but I won't touch till proper pay day date!) I will pay it towards the M & S card!
Have been taking pictures ready for my ebay spree which I should have done ages ago but just haven't got around to it! And I have just read it is free listing this weekend...bonus!
It is sooooo cold in this house, despite the heating being on and me wearing fleeces, slippers, thick socks etc etc rubbish!
Right off to make a hot chocolate before bed...my throat hurts as I had to give Emily a bit of a telling off....grrrrrr kids! Hope everyone is ok xxx:j 'Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts' - DFW Nerd member 866 :j0 -
Hi Donner
I am in awe of how much you have managed to pay off this year. Keep going you're doing so well. Don't forget to keep some balance though and treat yourself too especially with that birthday money. If you can't think of anything 'specific' you need/want with the birthday money how about using it for a 'treat night' each week for a few weeks, ie cinema one week, chinese and a bottle of wine plus DVD the next, that type of thing? Just a suggestion.
Well done again
