WEll done on the test.
Second the new SOA idea BTW.
Thanks Beanielou! Took forever to do it but am soooo happy I have finally passed! The test centre is moving next week and my brother reckons that they were just 'getting rid of the deadwood' and passed me anyway! Charming! He also put a bet on that I would fail and was gutted to loose £20! Ha ha! That will teach him!
Yep, I need to sort out all the budgets again. I have been all over the shop recently and need to get some order in place! xxx:j 'Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts' - DFW Nerd member 866 :j0 -

Yep! I really need to sort it out! I can be very hard on myself sometimes...need to ease up on myself a little I suppose... xxx:j 'Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts' - DFW Nerd member 866 :j0 -

Thanks! Tell me about it...knocking on for £50 each 2 hour lesson and nearly £1000 spent on tests alone! Jeez...I knew I could do it if I kept on at it, just thought if I gave up, would be such a waste of money but very did nearly give up there at the end...least won't be adding to the card with that anymore! Phew! xxx:j 'Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts' - DFW Nerd member 866 :j0 -
Hello everyone!
Just a quick message as I am at work at the mo! Yay it is payday! Woop woop!
had a look at the Fiesta last night but it wasn't to be
Gutted as really wanted the car and could visualise myself driving it but must be strong and not rush out to buy the first thing I set my eyes on! Ho hum! Have decided that I am gonna be a good girl and use some of the money I saved this month to put towards my cards as opposed to spending a little more on a car. The right car will come my way soon, just need to be patient and I need to pay money towards my cards too...I have been umming and arring for ages thinking shall I just spend a bit more and get something nice, when I am sure that I could find a little something if I put my mind to it and the extra cash should go to the cards like I had first intended!
I need to find the Virgin card statement and whack that in my signature and then start hitting that! I am hoping that with some very careful planning, I might be able to clear it by the end of the year! That would leave the new Lloyds 0% one and the Virgin one which is on a special deal and the 2 massive HSBC ones which I will be attacking after the Virgin one! I am actually looking forward to getting the rest of this year out of the way and only having those 4 cards to deal with! Yay!
Feeling positive today despite being on a downer last night about the car...my friend is taking me out at lunch to buy me a huge portion of cake to celebrate me passing my test! I also had a congrats card through the post to my work from an old colleague called Janice...she addressed it to Donna (sorry I don't know her surname but she is the good looking one who sits opposite Martin and who goes out running in her lunch break) so I was really embarrased when the post person gave it to me and read it out in front of the office...but secretly loved it too
That has made me smile
She was such a lovely lady, I miss her! She was very mum like (well how I imagine a mum to be as I don't have a proper one!) :j 'Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts' - DFW Nerd member 866 :j0 -
Hi Donner, sorry about the car but you do right to be patient. The right one will come along. WHy don't you post on the Motoring Board like I said, explaining how much funds you have etc and ask their recommmendations. You need something that is cheap on parts etc if anything goes wrong and they will know their stuff.
Looking forward to watching/reading you hammer that Virgin card down.
Glad you seem more upbeat now.

Hiya KM! Took me ages to find the Motoring board the other day but got there in the end! Will do then! I have a few ideas, eg Fiesta / Corsa / Ka / Metro kinda size but it is hard to know what the Pros and Cons are so will get some questions uptogether and have a go! xxx:j 'Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts' - DFW Nerd member 866 :j0

Man! Just got my wageslip and my overtime (after everyone has helped themselves to it) has left me with a little less than I thought! I had hoped for a takehome amount of about £100 extra but was only £74.22...but then I suppose that is still £74.22 off the dam cards! Grrrrrrrr! But should still be happy I suppose as didn't really do that much workwise...lol!:j 'Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts' - DFW Nerd member 866 :j0

Dam Tax Man....
Have you had a look on ebay for a car Donna?? When we needed a cheap little run around we bought one local off ebay for £700, rover (DH looks like Victor Meldrew when he is in it, just needs the flat cap) and it had MOT, Tax and has been so realiable its amazing!! Even if It dies now after a year we feel we have had a bargain. Fiestas are good although watch out for the rust!I'll make a wish, take a chance, make a change And breakaway. I'll take a risk, take a chance, make a change and breakaway ....

Hiya Sallyx!
Yep I have been checking on there...did you go and check the Rover out before you put in a bid? That is my main concern is that it wouldn't have an engine or something crucial! :rotfl: I have been checking over some the last few days but can't seem to find anything I really like and would be reliable! Seem to spend forever checking out cars! Feels like more stress than when I was learning!:j 'Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts' - DFW Nerd member 866 :j0
