Hi Donna,
How has Emily got on this week? Georgia had her first day today - it was just Yr 7s today, so Mon will be her 1st day with all the big people!
She wasn't nervous, very laid back about it all - it was me who was the worrier! I was mostly worried about the bus - all her friends on the other bus, but had a phone call today to say she can swap, so she's pleased with that. They had lessons today too which I didn't think they would haha...so done maths, science and art already.
I've been good money-wise, I have to as the pr@t ex has lost his job so no maintenance for me, £320 gone from my income.
Anyway, must go buy fish and chips as a well done to the girls for going back to school happily!!!I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
I've just read all 36 pages, and just wanted to say well done, you've done really well! One day I might add up what I owe (not as much as some people here but still gets me).
Well done and good luck
OMG! Blimey, you read the whole lot! Thanks for the support :j
It is scary when you add it all up, well was for me anyway! I still need to do better though really as sometimes I will use the cards a bit but at least I am on the right track I suppose! It's hard as sometimes I can become a little obsessed with the money which is not good as it can make me very depressed
I still need to have a life as I think I work blimin hard bringing up madam and trying to run a house and hold down my job etc but it is getting there, slowly slowly catchy monkey!

Oooooh will have to have a looksy! Should really get Emily's eyes tested at the same time I suppose! Last time I had them done, I took her with me and she was wispering out the letters off of the board to me and she had to leave the room! :rotfl::j 'Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts' - DFW Nerd member 866 :j0 -

Oh I thought it was G's first day last week! She has had a fab time thank goodness and 90% of the worrying was done by me naturally! Yesterday was just year 7 and 11 and today all the big kids were back! She was still a little nervous this morning but when she got home said it was all fine! She has even done her homework straight away which is good to hear, let's hope she keeps it up...doubt it though!
Emily has been doing lessons, her fav being Art so far...apparantly the teachers are really cool...she didn't think much of Geography or RE though! Oh well, can't win them all!
Well done on the money side of things...must be a real shock to the finances when something like that happens
not good. Have you had to explain it to the girls? Enjoy the fish and chips! I was gonna do the same until I realised I only have enough change for the chips so might have to cook us an omelette instead! Not the same though  :j 'Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts' - DFW Nerd member 866 :j0 -
Man I have come home from work to a letter from Virgin, telling me they are putting up the card interest rates to over 34%...that is disgusting... thank god I am trying to sort that one out now as certainly can't be doing with that!:j 'Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts' - DFW Nerd member 866 :j0

Gonna have a busy weekend planned!
Things to do...
Write to Inland Revenue about Childcare changes
Go through Emily's entire wardrobe
Clean the house from top to bottom as looks like a bomb has hit it again!
Shed loads of washing to do
Must do my run on Sunday as only 9 days till half marathon!
Drive to see my folks tomorrow and will be the first drive on my own of any proper distance...eeek!
Pay the Virgin card and Lloyds card
Do the shopping whilst I still have the car to use!
List some bits on ebay...maybe set a limit of 5?
Still look about for a car as haven't found anything yet!
Blimey! Better get off of this chair in a mo then!:j 'Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts' - DFW Nerd member 866 :j0 -
34 %??? OMG!! Can you transfer it on to any of the other cards you have paid off?
I meant to ask again have any of Martins team been in touch to see how you are doing? Weren't they supposed to be following your journey for so long?

I know! It's outrageous! Lucky I transfered that £1350 to the new lloyds one just in time...I hope to have the Virgin one sorted before Xmas and then they can stick it! Really puts it into perspective though, makes me realise how expensive it is to put things one the cards. I really need to keep a lid on my cards as have had to put a few bits on them like uniform etc and all those dam driving tests so one of them is higher than what it was initially. But at least I am aware of what is happening, not like before burying my head in the sand.
Yep they were meant to be following me for a year and *promised* that they wouldn't abandon me but it appears that they have done just that
ho hum...at least I have got all my friends on here out of it all...you guys are the only people who keep me going. :j 'Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts' - DFW Nerd member 866 :j0 -
