Just a quick update as am at work! Had a crazy few days sorting out Emily's school uniform, looking at cars, tidying up the house, having my first night out in AGES and then running 13 miles in the rain after only having 4 hours sleep! Crazy! Still no car though...boo hiss!
Hopefully my Virgin bill will be hear very soon so can update my sig and get some money paid off it! Gonna pay my £70 odd quid overtime off it straight away!
I am hoping to have a cheap food week this week and try and get rid of mall my leftovers! I need to start meal planning again as seem to be wasting food which is not good at all!
I have a dentist appointment today which is rubbish...I hate going to the dentist, even if it is for a check up! But gotta be done I suppose! Need to get my eyes tested too as work with computers all day and haven't done that for ages!:j 'Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts' - DFW Nerd member 866 :j0 -
Hi Donner
Have you tried Autotraders website? You can put in your postcode then all cars in/near your area will come up in your price range and you will then be able to inspect them. You can pay RAC or the AA or maybe a local garage to inspect them you know?
Remember you should get an extra £60 in Septembers wage coz of Gordon Browns mess up so that should come in handy.

Heya KM! Yep been checking the Autotrader and the Trade-it too! Might start scoring the local paper and see if they have a motoring section?
What's the extra £60 thingy then?:j 'Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts' - DFW Nerd member 866 :j0 -
Ooooh just asked google and saw what you mean...hope I get it! Should do as am a basic rate tax payer! Is there any reason why I wouldn't get it?:j 'Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts' - DFW Nerd member 866 :j0

Donner have you looked at any small garages in your town for a car, maybe they will have a trade in and maybe it would come with some sort of warranty if from a garage? Matbe try ringing your local Ford garage if you want a fiesta they may have had a trade in thats in your price range or if not maybe they would be able to point you in the direction of where they send older trade ins that they can't/won't put on their forecourt?0

if i remember rightly if you work with computers then employers have to pay for the test..
Good luck with food planning i am doing that today as well.:oBlackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?
Still lurking around with a hope of some salvation:cool:0 -
Hope everyone is well! I have been rushing about like a woman possessed the last few days, here, there and everywhere! Only a quick update as nearly fell asleep at work today so need an early night!
Been ok for the last couple of days, Emily has started big school today and that went well. She is still a little nervous as today was just year 7 kids and tomorrow they are all back in. But I am sure that she will be fine!
I have had to bite the bullit and drive for the first time since passing my test! I have been lent a car till Monday night and am fully comp on it so have been driving about a bit just to get used to driving alone. I am hopefully off to see the folks on Saturday which will be fab!
Had a bit of a mare this morning as found out that on one of my cards I was charged twice! Long story but Cinema charged me twice to watch one movie! They have agreed to refund the money and hopefully that will go through in the next few days.
Have finally had my Virgin statement through, with current balance at £1,386.86 so that's all good. Will hopefully pay some money towards it over the next few days.
Possible chance at work that I might be able to get an extra days overtime in and be on call again...hope so! What with that and the extra £60 thing, that would be awesome!
Tomorrow night I seriously need to tidy up this messy house! Also need to write a letter to Inland Revenue peeps informing them that my childcare costs will now decrease. MUST get that done asap. I also might pop to Tesco as will be able to drive there which will be AMAZING just to get the shopping and get home again...my goodness!
Really must get to bed though as really need sleep. Dunno what is wrong with me but think it may be diet related as have slipped back into old ways
need to sort it out! Nighty night all xxx :j 'Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts' - DFW Nerd member 866 :j0 -

I've just read all 36 pages, and just wanted to say well done, you've done really well! One day I might add up what I owe (not as much as some people here but still gets me).
Well done and good luck
