I have given up now KM
I am gonna do this on my own in the real world and with you guys in my computer world if you see what I mean! Like I said before, you guys are the only thing which keeps me going...so I have you all to thank :T I was upset to begin with but not anymore...I can do this and have to do this for my daughter's sake so that she can have everything that I didn't...I owe her that much at least! :j 'Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts' - DFW Nerd member 866 :j0 -
Well have made this month's minimum payment on the Virgin card of £33.44 and then paid that overtime £70 to the card too so that has took it down by just over a hundred! Would be fab to get rid of this one by Xmas and then I can put all my effort into knocking done the two biggest cards. That would then leave the other two cards which are both on special rates so won't be too worried about them. I have a little more still in my account which I should really have paid towards the card just then but I keep on thinking about this dam car malarky...I will see where I am at next weekend and see what the deal is then! Eeeek...I know I should be paying it off the card, just can't help but think some amazing little car could appear for slightly more that I had originally thought and once it has gone on the card, that's it! Mmmm I am gonna have a long hard think about this one...:j 'Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts' - DFW Nerd member 866 :j0

Had a fab day today! Managed to drive all the way to see my brother in Devizes...about 1 and a 1/2 hours from Bristol, even picked up my dad on the way! He was very impressed with my driving! Was great just popping down to see them, had lunch and a truly great day!
Gonna try and do a meal plan this evening and pop to the supermarket when they open tomorrow so that there won't be many cars in the car park and I have the chance of getting the heavy stuff like cat litter, washing powder etc! Really looking forward to that too!
Gonna do a bit of cleaning tonight too but gonna make sure I get enough sleep ready for my run in the morning!
Need to seriously get this place organised...might start a rota system or something...kinda like flylady but not as extreme!
Has made me realise today that I want to get a little car sorted as it was good just being able to get to see them all and then leave whenever I want...gonna check out some next week I think! Only have to find some first!:j 'Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts' - DFW Nerd member 866 :j0 -
Donner will you be shopping at Tesco tomorrow? If so there is a £5 off voucher in the News of the World tomorrow(£30 spend I think).
Glad you had a great day.0 -
Thanks KM! Was trying to decide between Tesco and Asda as thought Asda may be cheaper but is further away....could grab a paper before hitting the supermarket! About to try and write a list now but I could do with going to bed as am shattered! Will try my best to keep awake to write my list!:j 'Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts' - DFW Nerd member 866 :j0

Heya everyone, hope we are all ok!
Just a mega quick update as have hardly had anytime when I have been able to get to my PC recently! Did my Asda shop but plan to use my NOTW voucher on Saturday if I can borrow the car again! I also have a few quid Tesco vouchers so might use them too!
Been mega busy on the work front and may be able to squeeze in an extra day on call in a week or so, which would be fab!
Have decided to sort out paying that extra money I have been sat on in my bank account and which I was umming and arring about putting to the car fund and just pay it towards my Virgin card so will be updating the sig very soon! 34.9% APR...eeeek must get that down asap!
Am off to check out a car tomorrow as someone at work has put one on the noticeboard...BARGIN price of £250! 47,000 miles on the clock, R reg Nissan Micra and has tax till December and MOT till July 2009! He is driving it to work for me to look at tomorrow so at least it drives! Very cheap but he said he wants to get rid as has a new car...I am skeptical due to the price but as it is a work person and he is bringing it in I might as well check it out! If it is a goodun, would have some money left over to pay to the Virgin card too! Even if it just lasted until its MOT that would be something!!! Really hope it is nice!
Right off to make the tea and have an early night as am shattered out after running in the rain at lunch and cycling to and from work...also in the rain! Am looking forward to getting this Virgin card sorted and hitting the big HSBC cards head on! Yay!:j 'Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts' - DFW Nerd member 866 :j0 -
Wow, that car sounds like a right bargain...I have my fingers crossed for you!
How's Emily getting on? G all settled in, that's only been a week but feels like longer. I'm soooo relieved the fist week nearly done! Bless her, she's just been so laid back about it all!
Good luck with that credit card, what a ridiculous interest rate, hope you get it cleared fast;)I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -

Glad to hear G is doing ok! Emily is loving it which is brilliant and she is even getting on with her homework too!
I know, Virgin card is HORRENDOUS! Have managed to knock another £400 off of it as that was how much I had sat in the bank and really hoping that I could have that cleared by pay day in October! That would be brilliant!
Good news about the car! I brought it! Lovely little thing it is and have been arranging insurance so am now able to drive it about! Taking it to Chippenham ready for the Chippenham Half Marathon on Sunday...dead chuffed! It was such a bargin, have managed to pay for insurance an the car itself outright and have enough for the 12 months tax in December and may have a hundred or so left over, so that will be going towards a card! Need to get a few bits like seat covers etc but purely cosmetic...but I love my little car!:j 'Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts' - DFW Nerd member 866 :j0 -
car sounds a bargain donna, i drive a nissan micra and i love it. Are you going all girly pink? That is what my DD2 wants to do if she passes her test..DD1 has already gone pink.Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?
Still lurking around with a hope of some salvation:cool:0 -
Donner SOooo pleased for you. What great news a new car, more independence, all your hard work paid off there. And paying so much off that horrendous card. Good times. All down to your hard work and determination. Be proud when your driving to that marathon coz you should be.
I'm tempted to email Martin about abondoning you!?!
