  • KM feels the need to confess to wearing make up IF she goes to the gym :o:o Can I just say in my defence though its not to pose at the gym it coz I look AWFUL without it... infact if I didn't wear it they may tackle me to the ground and give me first aid  :D BUT I never wear skimpy gym clothes. So you might find that some of the make up wearers are just that through insecurity :o

Well done on the card donna. I'm a single parent too and don't usually get much nastiness directed at me but it does wind me up when folks go on general rants about how awful we are and how bad it is for the kids. Anyway sod them we're doing ok! Often those with "perfect lives" are hiding a whole lot under the veneer.
As for the BF I have no constructive advice but maybe you do need to have a chat and work out the way forward - maybe he's unsure if you want to commit as you are very settled in your routine with Emily. The only way of knowing is really to have a chat about it all.

Thanks Skint_spice! It is the hardest job in the world being a parent and harder still if you have to go it alone and have no one to ask if what you are doing is right. I had to give Emily a telling off today and I got very angry, I had to though as I felt she was bang out of line. I became a single parent at such a young age (16) and we have been like sisters as are very close, but she crossed the line today and I had to shout and tell her to remember who I was and that I was her mum. I hate having no one to check that my parenting is correct and have to try and figure it out alone. The boyf really doesn't want to commit, he said once about moving in and said he thought it was a good idea, then the next day I overheard him telling his mum that he is planning with his mate to buy a place and when I questioned him he said he doesn't want to commit and doesn't think he will want to for years yet so I kinda know that he doesn't want any kind of commitment at all. xxx

Ha ha! That's really funny!!! It is awful when people feel the need to make horrible comments, fair play to you for saying that! I know what you mean about the Fame rejects, just plain ridiculous some of them...if the women are not caked in slap with hardly any clothes you have the men making lots of grunting noises trying to make out they are really tough! xxx

I thought when i wrote it that you may think it untrue, but it was... honestly.
I think they put a lot of folk off the aerobics, including my own good wobbly self..I think one of the comments were
ooo you should really have a good bra, with those large bosums, or we will be in danger of injury:rotfl:
another was..any higher love and you might make two inches...an impression of me trying to do that all fours thing whilst raising a leg:cool: ( no fart comments although i wish i had:rotfl: )
so you see i just had to comment back.

Donna you are doing so well paying off your cards, think you should give yourself a big pat on the back!
I have to agree with others and think that BF does take advantage of you, its supposed to be an equal relationship and he seems to be running the show. I don't want to upset you, but you have to think about yourself and your needs, what you want from the relationship.
Anyway enjoy your run tomorrow, I might actually go myself
    take care of yourself hun
    xx

Heya Sallyx! Thank you! I do need to do an awful lot of thinking really, need to weigh up the pain and hurt against everything else. He is running the show as I never do anything else and am always free when he wants to just turn up! I need to get some hobbies and a bit of a life and not be so available all the time...play a bit more hard to get! Hoping the run will go ok. I spent the afternoon in the garden today and am gonna get an early night as am aching all over! If you pop out for a run, hope you have a good one! xxx

I usually prefer going to the gym to classes but some of them have been quite a good laugh but I think it depends on your luck - generally I'd say the bodycombat type usually has quite a few blokes there too and isn't too intimidating but on the other hand my fave class ever would have to be a salsacise class which was all women but very few of the type you are talking about and just a bloomin good laugh! best bet is just to try some out till you find something that suits you.

I used to go to boxercise and really enjoyed it, until the gym pulled the plug on it...was gutted! I like circuits too but need a partner really and am a bit shy sometimes. I have thought about trying spinning or perhaps body pump and I suppose if I don't like them, I won't have lost any money as they are included in the gym fees! xxx

:rotfl: That's fine! Some of the peeps I see are absolutely caked in the stuff and they don't actually ever do any exercising as they just sit on the machines and yap to each other! That is what annoys me, when they take up all the machines but don't use them and then get arsey if you ask to use the machine. The usually don't wear hardly any clothes at all, low cut tops and wonderbras not sports bras and it is like a fashion parade! xxx

Pain and hurt go very well..you can practise your boxercise techniques on him.
Or tell him you have a better offer, and not to come around for a while...MSE isn't lying is it?
