Thanks everyone! I managed to get a full 8 hours sleep, even with sharing the bed with my massive cat, so felt better this morning. I have just been for a run, only a short one today, 2 miles, and was really chuffed as managed to run it quickly despite feeling half dead at the end, was sooo red in the face and a right sweaty betty but at least it is out the way for today. I am gonna have some brekkie now, have a shower and wash up last nights pans etc which I really should have done last night! Then out into the garden at about lunch time to try and cut the grass or at least cut it down a bit as it looks horrendous. That is another thing I don't like about being on my own nearly all the time...have no one to help me! Gonna get Emily out to see if she can do anthing, just hard to get started as is so bad and in such a state! Hope everyone is ok! xxx

  • Hi Donner you sound like you've cheered up abit today. Well done on the run you always put me to shame, I'm still sat in bed :o

As for the garden can you not rope boyfriend, brother or dad into helping? By Using the lady in distress guilt tactic or something ;) If not, then if thats bad then try and break it down into chunks, just do a small patch at a time so it doesn't feel too daunting and you end up giving up type of thing.

You do so well doing all you are doing, keep being proud of yourself :D

    Heya KM,
No joy on roping anyone to help me! My dad and bro are not local to Bristol and boyf...well haven't seen him in ages...sometimes makes me feel as if I am single as hardly see him these days but that is another story! So I managed to do the whole thing myself! Spent the ENTIRE day out in the garden, cut the grass several times over, both front and back and also cut down some brambles and stuff too. I have some plans for the garden, so will be nice to try and out them into action so that I can relax out there in the summer!
Had a really lazy day today and didn't really do anything, apart from a bit of cleaning up!
Was really proud of my DD earlier...she had been out playing with friends and then came back early and on her own. I thought something was up but I thought I would leave it and see if she mentioned anything to me. Then she said that she came back early as her 'so called mates' decided that they wanted to go stealing stuff from the local shop and Emily said she didn't want to be a part of it and left them too it. I am so very proud of her, seems like I must be doing something right and that she knows what is right and wrong and has her head screwed on. I don't really know the kids at all and don't know their parents or where they live or anything, but she said that she will only hang around with the children who do not steal as she doesn't want to be a part of it! I am so pleased with her...she is my baby but is growing up very fast.
Planning to get some big bits on ebay this week so that I can have them collected by a courier next week as I am off for the 2 weeks from work. Hope to make some money to pay off of the cards, expecially as I have had to put things on them recently, driving stuff, shower etc etc so would be good to get rid of Barclaycard and get started on one of the others!
Hope you and everyone else is well...nighty night! xxx

Hello all! Hope we are all fine and dandy! I have enjoyed my first day off and had a NSD which is all good. Tomorrow will be a differnt story though as have quite a few things to go and buy so will be hunting around for cheap shops! Charity shops and TK Maxx if I can't find nowt! I need to get a few bits for the weekend as am going away for a few days. Kinda annoyed as this will mean forking out for stuff, but just want to get April out of the way as is going to be the worst month so far money wise. It's my boyf's 30th so we are all out during the week for a meal and then the weekend away too. Not planning on drinking hardly anything so that should help me try and keep the costs down. May actually resort to taking my own booze out if need be! Naughty I know but needs must! I need to get some hiking trousers and a hat really and my jeans are about to fall to pieces so on the look out for some cheap ones. I am also getting my hair done tomorrow as have not had a hair cut for about 8 months and really, really need one.
Anyway, been relaxing today! Done some cleaning so as want to get it all out of the way over the next few days so can really chill out next week! I have also whacked a few bits on ebay but am gonna leave the rest until tomorrow as am shattered out! Off to the lad of nod in a mo!
Feeling positive as despite this month being very expensive and having to out a few bits onto the card, I know that I am tackling this whole debt malarky and am no where near as bad as I was before. At least I am aware of what is going on now and not burying my head in the sand. I know that this month is rubbish with no chance of saving, only spending, but I hope to make some of it back on ebay etc and am gonna cut the childcare down to 4 days instead of 5 each week to try and cut back there.
This is such a slow process...but will be sooo worth it in the end...

Heya everyone, hope you are all ok. I am really enjoying this time off mouching about at home and even have the house looking semi clean and tidy! Just have to stick to it though! Would be lovely! Dreading looking at the card bill to see how much has gone on there recently but will face up to it! Have a few bits on ebay already at over £50 so that money will go straight towards the cards so that is all good.
Off for a weekend away tomorrow so hoping to try and keep that as cheap as I can. Cost quite a bit already really which went on the card, but it is for my boyf's 30th so is a one off. Will be glad to get April out of the way money wise as has been a bad month. At least when I get paid on the 27th I will have my rise and also 6 hours overtime at time and a half, so that will help! I am gonna use the childcare money I would have paid towards Emily's care towards my card now. That should whack £200 off of the Barclaycard leaving just £250 left to go. Good in a way, but then gutted as one of the other cards has had a bit of a beating. But glad I am on top of things and not going crazy for the heck of it. Really gonna try cutting back on the foodies this month. That will help too! Hope you are all ok! xxx

Thanks you guys! I suppose I just feel a bit rubbish as I have had to put rather a bit on one of my cards and then paid off another one (Barclaycard) whereas I suppose I should have used the cash to buy my bits outright and not out it onto a card. But I suppose I should look at is this may happen from time to time...things crop up and at least it is not going to be all the time. Just look forward to the day where I can just spend whatever and not be soooo worried about money all the time! One day eh! In just under 2 years, I won't have this silly bank loan to pay and in the summer, the childcare money should come down. That's all good! And may be chance of a few weekends overtime in the summer too...that will help!
Looking forward to me weekend away but then hoping it won't cost too much. I went out to my boyf's birthday meal last night and only drank lemonade all evening. Was dead chuffed! Not really planning on drinking much this weekend, if anything. And hope to keep the eating out costs down too...
Takes over you brain sometimes this money malarky...mmmmmmm! xxx
