I know what you mean! I have a few fitness things that I brought in good faith but then NEVER used! Mine too are sat there gathering dust...just never seem to get round to using them! I will have to keep an eye out on the freecycle as haven't been on there for ages. I have been having a look on the OS threads for the packed lunches and dinners too. They are great...need to put them into practice. Am going to get Emily more involved with the cooking and we are gonna make one 'treat' thing each weekend, hence tomorrow being the flapjacks! Yum! Emily is doing really well! I am very proud of her! She has stopped whinging about the cable TV and we have been trying to do a few bits together like sit down and watch a movie or play a game etc. Want to get her out on her bike over the next few weeks and also helping me with the garden too. Good to get some fresh air! I do feel quite guilty sometimes though as wish I could spoil her rotten, but this day will come in a few years time...I am sure of it!:j 'Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts' - DFW Nerd member 866 :j0

Maybe if you are really lucky someone may put one on freecycle in your area as I guess it would be better than braving this awful weather!
As for packed lunches have you seen the thread about packed lunches on the old style board it may give you some new and cheaper alternatives?
How is your daughter doing is she on board with the not spending now?Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

The argos one i use for 0 % offers on bulk items, bought my dd1 a new suite and fridge freezer when she moved about £250 left. The halifax 0 % just finished so i will have to get my butt in gear to clear it- about £800. OH has cards though and doesn't seem to get to grips with stuff, despite me quoting martins site at him. I also have a car on 0%, which will finish in 2 1/2 years, but if i have my way sooner.
That's good! Can you pay more off of the car then or are you stuck to strict payments? I still haven't heard back from Abbey and I applied ages ago...weeks ago I am sure! But at the time their website was playing silly beggers so I am wondering if it actually went through at all...I will give it a few days and then try and think what to do, could contact them and re-apply on I think Sainsburys are doing a card which is 0% on Balance Transfers for 12 months and you can get nectar points too which is fab!:j 'Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts' - DFW Nerd member 866 :j0 -

Righteo I am off to beddy byes! Got to get up early for my run early in the morning...great...not! Well have a had another NSD today! Will be popping out in the afternoon to get some bits for lunches next week as still have a few meals worth of food at home, which is great! Will make sure that I walk for a bit longer to get to a proper shop so that I don't end up going to the corner shop and paying a small fortune! Got enough potatoes left to make some HM oven chip and fried eggs...yum! And jacket pots too with some pasta x 2 days and left over HM quorn and veg curry from out tea tonight! That should take us through to middle of the week which is great news! Night night everyone xxx:j 'Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts' - DFW Nerd member 866 :j0

Think I may try the Sainsburys one...but will make sure I have a proper look around first though, make sure I try for the best deal!:j 'Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts' - DFW Nerd member 866 :j0 -
look at martin's guides for best buys, and sometimes there is some useful info on credit card boards, but also have noticed some posters aren't as helpful as DFW board posters.Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?
