Oh, just a quick note to self! Have seen the thread about the water meter and need to think about whether that can save me a few £££. I am not on a meter here, but sure I read they would put one in for me, mentions it on the yearly statement I just got through...sure of it. Basically it is just me and Emily anf I am paying about £38 per month for water and sewage. I know ever now and then boyf will come over and have a bath and use the washing machine, but even then, if I did some cut back stuff and got more organised, sure I could make it less. Will start looking at that tomorrow! Really am off to bed now...Donna step away from the computer!

  • Have to get Emily down to my dad's in Chippenham tomorrow as he is babysitting her and bringing her to the Half marathon in the afternoon, so hopfelly watching me pass the finish line so my entire weekend is taken up with race stuff.
Totally envious here as you are going to Chippenham- but:T that everything is nearly at the end- race wise. Half marathon- hope weather is going to be slightly cool and wet:rolleyes: It may be a bit easier for you.

Will try and get a bit of cleaning and sorting stuff out tomorrow evening if I can but really need to get a semi early night as have to get the train off to the race on the Sunday morning.
Wouldn't bother this weekend, just concentrate on getting through race and having celebratory drinkies after:beer:

Quite annoyed about how the whole weekend is being taken up and how I am so exausted and can never seem to get anything done! Driving is going ok and have the next test booked for 2 weeks away. I feel a lot more confident so am looking forward to it!
Good- I saw the other message so not long now:T

Botyfriend has been away since the weekend and I am missing him terribly. Hopefully he will be round on Sunday evening, but I am likely to be asleep after that huge race lined up! Really looking forward to getting this run out of the way, has felt like a huge weight around my neck but I am already signing up for a summer Half marathon back in my home town of Chippenham! Will I never learn? I am gonna dress up and get sponsorship I think and then I will be more determined!

:T Put me down for some- do you take coppers:rotfl: and a nice cake:D

This whole money thing has been really getting me down the last few days. Not sure if it is because the boyf has been away, time of the month looming soon, or what! I am really starting to miss money and not having any to buy treats etc with. It's hard work isn't it? I think I might buy myself a bottle of something cheap for Sunday evening, just to say 'well done' to myself for hopefully completeing this race and doing it on my own as boyf won't be there this time...no one will as out of the HUGE list of friends from work who signed up, I am the only one running! So I am gonna give myself a big :T and get my butt of to bed! Take care and will be back tomorrow! xxx

Hope everything goes really well and i mean what i say about a bit of sponsership and cake:D :j

  • Hi Donner

Good luck with the marathon this weekend. You should be really proud of yourself for doing it when you are working full-time, single parent, house to look after, finances to keep track of, boyfriend to keep happy... Shall I go on... Well done you

    Good luck

It always amazes me that they can charge so much for water in this country with all the rain:rotfl: Hope you can get it sorted. My father in law is on one and it has saved him a fortune.
Have now had doors fitted:j But cost was a lot:o Ah well, kitchen floor going down again in two weeks time so i will be decent for company visiting:DAm off to get more brews to keep awake, and work on plan of action to annoy Mr. BOB over weekend:cool: Evilly laughs at thought-wish i was still at the stage where i could forgive him anything:D Have a good one. Heya everyone! Thanks for all the lovely comments! You guys are the best...I have been feeling quite down recently, but you guys are always able to make me happy again :) Dunno where I would be without peeps on here, quite a lonely life I lead really but you guys are great!

Have just got back from Chippenham, got drenched walking back from the station...why did I forget my umbrella?!?! Gonna make some tea in a mo and chill out before the race. I am hoping with soooooo much rain today, there might not be so much to rain out tomorrow! Hope so! Need to get an early night tonight too as had a really bad night's sleep last night...Grrrrrrrr!

Have decided to try and not give myself such a hard time about this money malarky; at least I am not out every weekend buying clothes and several take aways a week etc, just have been feeling quite down about how long this is all gonna take, but at least I am not adding to it like I used to. I didn't hear anything from the Abbey card, their website was having 'issues' when I applied so I don't think my application even got through...so was gonna reapply tomorrow, but then had a letter through telling me about a new Goldfish card with 4.9% on balances for 3 years!!! Think that one may be better really? What do you all think? Am gonna have to have a think about that!

Had a bit of good news, nexy door stuck a note through my door and said that they were getting a fence put up in the back garden! Have come home tonight and they have put it up...really nice and now means me and Emily can sit out in the garden in the summer without next doors dogs running over every time! Really chuffed! Just need a back gate now and it would be sorted! I vow that this year I am gonna make the garden really lovely so we can sit out in it and relax...can't wait! The grass is a right mess, so looking forward to putting the graft in and making it nice for a change! Emily can help too! I reckon that that is why they had the fence put up...so they didn't have to llok at the 'jungle' any more! Oh well, it's all good! Right, off to get dinner on...pasta again...carbs for tomorrow! xxx

Glad you got the doors sorted bob! Bet you can't wait for the flooring eh! Did you get any ideas to annoy Mr Bob? Ha ha! I can't wait to see the boyf again, I miss him terribly. He text me last night to say that he is not having such a great time on his mountain biking weekend...seems that the group of guys he has gone with spent the night getting drunk and by the sounds of it, chatting up anything in a skirt...and they are all married too. Makes me very annoyed  Him and his friend left them all to it as didn't want to get involved. But he seems very unhappy so hope he had a nice day today. But I imagine it has been peeing down all day so that can't be too good...

Right dinner...for real now! :rotfl: xxx

Goldfish had an offer on through quidco with a good amount of cashback, try through there first.
