Fingers crossed you get the extra dosh. I only afford Cornwall because i have too as dd1 lives there and i will beg borrow or steal to get there. There is the tent as well and have done several trips which have cost varying amounts.
The petrol is a killer at moment and that bumps cost up a lot-lol. Anyway am cake watching again, so will have quick catch up fix and then back to dreary housework. bobx

Yep got the £££! So have just paid that towards the Barclaycard! Dead chuffed with that! That must be great to get up there to see your DD!
I can't wait till I get driving and then get out and about with the tent...deffo a cheap way of taking a break! But like you say...there is petrol and the rest of to think about when you have a car
I now have to get on with the housework...I sat down for a few minutes and then got engrossed with something on the tele! Oh well! Right off to clean my room! xxx

Great, keep chucking it at the debt and it will soon come down, i have loads of coins i am going to use to pay off my argos, on 0% at moment so have a few months left but want cleared as soon as poss.

You are doing really well and I know you are finding the running a chore at the mo but I really admire you for sticking to it, it would be so easy to say forget it.

RE the food budget I know you are struggling to keep this down. Have you set an amount that you want to spend for the 2 of you and putting it in your signature? It may help to keep focussed like it seems to do for boredofbeingathome. Just a thought.

Yep it does feel like a chore! I have been really silly as I should have been doing proper training several times a week, not once a week and hope for the best! Oh well, only have myself to blame there! Great idea about the food budget! I think I will have to do that one...maybe join in on one of the shopping challenge thingys? I have been trying to work out a budget foodwise and it will be a bit up in the air as sometimes the boyf shows up and that's an extra person for tea! What I think I will do is keep a list of everything I buy this month and then use that next month as a basis of what to base the challenge on and then try and reduce it further? I think that I probably spend a little too much on Emily's packed lunch as I worry she will get hungry! I have been taking my own lunch in each day so that has been good! And I haven't brought anything from the vending machine or the cafe next door for the whole year! Am very chuffed with that...especially as I have a thing for chocolate covered flapjack! So me and Em's are gonna make some tomorrow...will be nice! I hope I don't scoff them all, especially being that I have been sooooo good all week! :T

Amazing how the coins soon add up though isn't it! Have you got many cards? So nice when they start to come down...I know when I cleared the Egg card I felt GREAT!!!

Go for it! I know it always helps me clear my head when I go...which is good! Glad it will be the last long run before the big race...that is motivation enough! :rolleyes:

Its a shame I don't live anywhere near you as I have a running machine (not electric) that I NEVER use and its just gathering dust it needs giving away.... Maybe if you are really lucky someone may put one on freecycle in your area as I guess it would be better than braving this awful weather!

As for packed lunches have you seen the thread about packed lunches on the old style board it may give you some new and cheaper alternatives?

How is your daughter doing is she on board with the not spending now?

Spoke to my lovely boyf this evening! He is finally back from his hols and promised to come over tomorrow evening! Yay! Cannot wait to see him...I love him soooooo much! Cheeky monkey has gone and left my camera in Switzaland though! Grrrrrrrrrrrrr! Gutted as wanted to use it for Ebay, but said they are sending it first thing Monday morning...I hope it makes it back ok as I have only had the thing since Xmas! Can't believe it....well I can I suppose as that is him all over! Silly man!
