  • Just a thought, if you do have a Tesco, this is what to look for.
    5031021331908_200.jpg It's £3.99 for 10 litres.

That was 2.5 years ago though, he's much bigger now. :D
They say it's genetic, they say he can't help it, they say you can catch it - but sometimes you're born with it

I use shredded paper in my rabbits litter tray with newspaper on the bottom to line it. I use an old toybox for my rabbit as her litter tray. I also use shredded paper for the hutch. She does eat it but shes fine. Shes an outdoor rabbit in a shed. It does smell but so did the sawdust and i empty it daily anyway so its fine.

I have started buying wood shavings in bulk from a local wood mill, 25kg bales for £5.50...the first one lasted a month and we clean the baby bunnies out every day....i also buy nice straw from a local farmer who grows it for thatched roofs, so its nice and clean and this looks like the one bale is going to last forever...!!!!! and it was only £2.50....

ps...hope you like my 2 bunnies on my avatar......

Have you tried to bond the bunnies - swapping sleeping areas and hay etc so that they have each others scent on each other. We had a male (neutered) rescue bunny and we spent about 3 weeks bonding him with our female buunny by swapping cages etc now they are best friends.

I am sure that females that have not been 'fixed' can become very stressy, and agressive around other buns, more so than males as females are more territorial. Bonding would probally be the best option, but it will take a lot of patience and i really wouldnt attempt it before getting bebe 'fixed'. Take a look at this website, and post your question there, there are loads of experienced rabit owners/rescues etc who could help
    http://forums.rabbitrehome.org.uk/

I would also ask you to strongly consider getting bebe fixed even of you decide to keep her seperate from the others, as a massive amount of female rabbits develop uterine cancer, and spaying her will almost definently prevent it!! If you were all ready planning to do so, sorry for being pushy :o , but i wasnt aware of this when i got my firs bunny!
  • hello,
thank you for your replys! I got bebe 'fixed' about 2 weeks ago on wednesday. Shes doing great and started bouncing around again within a couple of days (which was quicker then my little dwarf rabbits!)

The female dwarf, hunny is the aggresive one, she started to jump at me when i feed them but she seems to have calmed that down alittle now, i havent tried them together yet or put bebe near them because shes still recovering from her operation. All the rabbits have been good when it came to 'fixing' them all, as none of them pulled there stitches out for a good 2-3weeks after! :D

But it seems to be the dwarf female thats agressive not the one whos just been fixed! :p
I'm getting married in August 2015
