City-Link, I just don't understand

Ebuyer seems to have decent customer service from my one experience with them - last year I bought a fax modem to install myself but it turned out to be faulty, they were very quick with email support & option of replacement/refund. Looks like I'll be ordering from them as I've just checked out scan.co.uk and a few other sites but not much coming up to rival ebuyer's prices, we'll see what happens0

Guess it depends, if they're on scan's todayonly offers they can be decent (excluding postage). I find it's mostly the postage that makes a difference since I get free postage at scan."She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"

Oh get his CL tried deliverign my missing phones several times AFTER the upgraded replacement mobile had come from BT (via CL) !!
I gave up in the end and called the local depot and told them to STOP trying to deliver an item they had misplaced and that I'd be advising BT Fusion of this and advising them to refuse the extra delivery costs !!
CL had been told to take the thing back to BT when the upgrade was ordered !!
Up until this I'd had no issue with CL and eBuyer orders (Ordered via a mates CC) but never again will I go through anyone using CL now !!Cloudedbrains aka Donna0 -
Driver for CL just delivered a box to the front reception of my work, I said "were you not suposed to bring it to the back door?", his reply "no one told me that", Well what's that I said pointing to the special instructions on the box and his sheet. My wife used to work for City Link and most depots are actually franchises. So you may for example get great service in one region but poor in another.0

thing is for every complaint we see here hundreds or thousands of items are delivered without issue every day0

But with any company the best test of how good they are isn't how many times things go wrong but how they deal with things when they do. Some of my staunchest customer loyalty has actually developed out of something going wrong because they've given me confidence that I know any problem will be sorted out swiftly and exceeded my expectations."She is quite the oddball. But that's the issue with City Link, it isn't one company! It's several separate franchise companies working under one name. So if one branch gets it right or wrong they can blame problems on another.0
