I was wondering whether the guy that delivered it could have been the delivery driver that had been faking the deliveries. (It was a City Link delivery of the flowers)."She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"

I guess its about as close to an apology you're gonna get of them
I just don't get why they are getting away with this - it's such a widespread issueCloudedbrains aka Donna0 -

Well I got another email from Scan two days ago (the retailer I complained to about CL but wasn't involved with this order) and they said that CL had apologised to them?! and that they've insisted there will now be a thorough investigation of the local depot. I'm pretty sure it's Scan's involvement now that prompted the flowers. It'd be interesting if anything came of the investigation but I won't hold my breath."She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"

Letter of apology arrived today from the manager of the local depot and also assured once again that the matter is being investigated. At least they seem to be doing something about it."She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"

Argggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggghhhhhhhhh!
Two parcels for me today were apparently signed for by <insert name that isn't similar to that of any of my neighbours> and no card was left.
Parcels were from two different companies, so obviously not mis-addressed!!

What gets me about CL and the others like Interlink Express they claim that "the driver ran out of time". How can they do that, after all if in any other job you are behind in work the boss would want that done for that day, not the next day or the next. If the driver cant complete this then they should not be charging for next day delvery when they fully know that they wouldnt bother taking it to the address until a few days later.0

Just to add my threppunce ha'penny, I buy a lot from the internet - certainly 90% of the things I buy are from online retailers and as a whole, no delivery company sticks out in my mind as being terrible. Except maybe Parcelforce.
In my last house we often got failed deliveries. I was on maternity leave at the time and was home quite a bit - and would wait in if I knew that they were coming anyway. Parcelforce seemed the worst by far. Now I think about it perhaps it was because my house last house was a new build, on a site at the end of a culdesac that had 8 new houses built on - perhaps it wasn't showing up on their sat navs?
Now I've moved 3 miles away, I've been carded loads (because I'm back at work) and not had one (yet!) that I've failed to be carded for. They always have arranged a redelivery at my convenience - City Link included.
I recently bought an item of eBay which was buyer collect. I really wanted it, and asked them if I organised a courier whether they would box it up for me. The seller agreed, and after searching on internet I looked at Parcels2Go. I then googled their name (and actually a thread on here came up too) and was shocked at what terrible feedback they received.
Then I googled all the other main players - Parcel Net, DHL, Parcelforce etc and found that there was so much terrible feedback on ALL of these companies, that I thought 'what the hey' and booked my £5.99+vat 2-4 day delivery with Parcels2Go at about 6pm and crossed my fingers.
They collected the parcel from Kent at 09.20 the next day, and I had it by 09.10 the following morning.
Needless to say I was amazed. All posts made are my own opinions and constitute neither professional advice nor the opinions of my employers

As a part time courier iv found it depends on the franchiase that you choose. Some offices are brilliant, realy friendly, know exactly what they are doing etc etc. Others are less so and its hard work making things okay! I hate it when my company name is made to look bad or im paid late which often happens with the latter companies.
ANC are good, never had any issues with them. Some City Links are okay others are not, TNT again are pretty good as are APC. I turn down anything Parcel Force! Slow payment and something normally is cocked up so its not worth the hassle of sorting it out!0
