Hospital went Ok and I spoke about the home testing kit (INR) and they are fully behind me:j :j :j ...they have suggested I continue attending there weekly to see if the readings are the same, then after a few weeks, I may be able to just go every 3-4 weeks:j :j :j I also made a complaint whilst there about the mistake they made a couple of weeks ago and they have put in an incident report. They were really helpful! I just expressed my concerns and reasons for making the complaint and they were fine. TBH, I have been going there since July/Aug 2006 and they are normally fine, but it was a serious mistake.

    thats brilliant news :D

    afternoon all,

Well been to friends for coffee, and three hours later just got back, my god she can talk, I think its because she is at home with her grandaughter during the week and does not get to talk to an adult often :D , her news was that her DD is expecting again, so she will soon have two to look after, I must point out that friend is a LOT older than me, there is no way i am old enough to be a granny yet :p . Went to a cafe for lunch, I had a panini with brie and bacon and a tea for £5  , felt awful having to pay that much, but its only once in a while. Freinds GD is very funny, she is just two, and asked me to show her the menu, when I asked her what she was having she said 'beans on toast please' and shut the menu. :rotfl:

Blowing a gale here and raining again, not nice at all. Going on school run in a while then dinner bath and jammas in front of tv x

Hope everyone is ok in this weather xx

    Hope we are well
Nice to see you again anniestar
    pen-pin - great news!

My boss had her baby at 11.30am today, girl weighed 6lb & 11.5 oz. Both doing well.

Just about to crack on with the ironing for tomorrow! Pen-Pen - I always buy tefal irons, and especially the steam generator ones. Sorry cant help with any other. My OH brought a tesco value one for about £7 for his mum, Ive used it once, and its ok, but I prefer the steam generatpr ones better.

DD at judo later. DS will be swimming at the same time. I would have joined him, but with this huge cold sore, I dont want to risk getting it infected!

Right best be off, take care
    Love Emma xxx

Not done too much today. Been into town to get a few bits, posted off job application and bumped into a few friends (7 to be exact) and we all sat and had a coffee. Very bizarre that we would all be in the same place at the same time and everyone know each other! Someone paid for my drink which was really sweet.

Foster daughter joined us for a while and then went to get her mobile phone sorted. Funny how the shops try and con the youngsters but as soon as there is someone a little bit more 'mature' (she is 18 and I'm 29) around they change their story and finally agreed to send it off to be repaired for free, whereas they told her it be cost £50!!!!

We had a sandwich out, cost £7 but she used her work id to get us a 20% discount from the cafe - she is MSE/ OS in training!!! Was nice to sit and have a chat about stuff, which is something we haven't done in a while.

We decided to ask her older sister over for dinner and nipped into the supermarket to get some meat. There were no free range chickens in, and after a discussion about how the chickens are treated, she decided she would rather have beef than support battery farmed cruelty. :j

So I have a roast dinner to cook and she has asked if I will make some more of those brownies that lasted approx 2 hours in our house! And some clean washing to put away and reconcile some spending. Best get to it!

    Later taters

Afternoon all. (((Hugs))) to all who are still unwell and those with injuries and those who are worried and feeling down.

Apparently, the 21st January is supposed to be the most depressing day of the year. So far,I've just found it really cold. We have had no rain today and the sun even came out (for about a minute and a half - I almost didn't recognise it!)
so it gave just a hint of good weather to come. I really feel for all those who are vulnerable to the flooding. I couldn'timagine being in that position. It must be terrifying and even more so for those poor people waiting to get back in to their homes.

Well, I have found a hairdresser and have an appointment on WEdnesday. I was hoping they could do it today but they were really busy (a good sign?) so they couldn't. QUEENIE - I had forgotten about trying the local college. I'll see how this appointment goes first.

I actually went back to the gym today - the first time since I was ill. It seems a lot busier but I suppose all gyms are at this time of year. People either feel they have eaten too much and not exercised over Christmas or they think about the summer holidays. Anyway, I expected it to be really hard but I enjoyed it a lot and felt much brighter when I left. I try so hard to keep to three times a week but it's been nearly impossible what with illnesses and so on. Anyway, I;m determined from now on to get in my thbree trips.

Well,I'd better go and do some more work.

    Will see you all later.

    JathyXX

He is older than me but hardly cradle snatching!

Decided it would not be tactful to mention his age to him today!

Just got back home been to Black Heath working today and now I have a mountain of paperwork to do before it starts all again tomorrow!
Feel a tad miserable at the mo it must be the weather I am sick of it:mad:
I drove along the seafront this morning where all the wood has been washed up on the shore andI was  at how much there was there, some piles must have been 30 odd foot in the air, didnt see any looters trying to snatch enough to build a shed:D ...............come to think of it I need a new piece of decking;)
Spoke to my mum yesterday, she is in Oz visiting my sister, apparently mum was driving and had to stop at a set of lights and the sun was shining in her eyes so she pulled down the sun visor and there was a huge huntsman spider:eek:  she said it was bigger than a tea plate:eek: ........so she screamed and leapt out the car and refused to get back in until someone had got rid of it:rotfl: she called my sister who jumped out the shower shoved some clothes on and drove to her still with a towel on her head:rotfl: :rotfl: I can laugh from over here in the UK but if it was me I would have s*** myself:rotfl:

Pen-Pen - if you can run to it go for a Steam Generator iron. TG Hughes may have some in or Makro if you have a card. I've just got one and very impressed, cursing that I do not have one out here.

Why is it I have less time now I am retired then when I worked?
  • Hello again everyone.
    Well, I’ve been busy today!

Both boys beds stripped washed and remade,
    Made chocolate blobs
Pasta bake and garlic bread made and ready to go in the oven,
    Hovered, dusted.
Both fish tanks cleaned and water changed.

French maid sorry you are feeling down, I was like that when I worked and it can get on top of you sometimes. You need to try and work out a little me time even if it is just 20 minutes doing something you enjoy for yourself. (I used to spend lots of time in the bath reading which helped me unwind).
Got to get ds1 ready for karate now. Hope everyone has a good evening. Hugs and best wishes to all who need them.

Taking Ds to karate in a mo, will take my knitting to do as he doesn't like me to leave him. OH is on nights tonight, so I shall take advantage of an early night with no snoring:D .
Have a good night all:A xxxx
