Right shower for me and into my disguise as a human being for my mystery shop
JJ sorry to hear about your hubbies sad news xThe birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Oooh, Dusty thanks for the bird watch reminder. Indoors job I think watching them get blown past the window at 30mph! Enjoy being a mystery shopper..dark glasses, headscarf and a false nose? Hee hee, I would!
Michelle, glad you're rested, enjoy your taking it easy day.
Embb, no clues on the christmas card sales I'm afraid but I haven't been in the shops for a while. I'd try somewhere small like newsagents, I think the big shops will have had orders to send them back to stock by now. I might be wrong though.
Right, up and at 'em. Back later with either a list to do or a list of done!

Morning all
Two loads of washing blowing on the line.
Generally tidied round, prepared potatoes for oven chips later. Read the paper. If DH ever gets up I'll make him sort out that box of "stuff".0 -
Morning
Havent posted for a couple of days but have been trying to catch up.
OH DID come to the parenting class on Thursday but thats all I'll say about it!
Havent managed to do much flying since and today I'm still sat here in my dressing gown. I was going to shower before getting dressed but I've decided I'm going to take my book and have a lazy bath - ME TIME, as DD wont do what I ask her too and I dont fancy another battle.
Its a little bit sunshiny here today and the wind doesnt seem too bad (but then I havent been outside yet). I am however planning on doing the windows outside  . I've borrowed the window cleaners poles and stuff from work so I can do the upstairs windows which I havent done since we moved in er 7 years ago :rotfl: . They have to be back by 8 on Monday so I cant put it off, has to be this weekend.
Just waiting for DS to get out of the bathroom then I'll be off.
Hope you all have a fab day especially RACH and her new husband.
TTFNMortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!0 -
Just doing a check in here. It is so blustery out, but hopefully good drying weather. I've just managed to get my 1st load of the year out on the washing line :j and a quick chat with the neighbours. We had a power cut last night which set the burglar alarm off, and they were round within a minute to bring a torch for me and see if i need help. Lovely couple in their late 60s/70s, but nice to know they are willing to help, particularly with DH away. They were just checking all was ok.
OK - mini plan for the weekend:- change our bed [STRIKE]and the cot[/STRIKE]
- read my magazine that came last week
- watch DVD rental - was going to do tonight, but as i have been on phone to mum for an hour, didn't manage it
- [STRIKE]wash bedding[/STRIKE]
- [STRIKE]wash a load of DH's jumpers[/STRIKE]
- book cattery dates for weekends away and the holiday in august that i know about
- pay credit card bill
- take charlie to feed ducks
- visit sister so boys can run around in garden together and get energy burnt off
- visit mums on sunday so boys can run around together and burn some energy off (spotting a pattern here .... :rotfl: dots so pigpen doesn't feel too special.)
- mark y8 books
- mark y10 books
- mark y9 books - will do marking while watching film i hope
- plan lessons for next week
That's as exciting as my life is today. Less than an hour though for Rach
Michelle, x0 -
Rach will be there by now, it's making me smile just thinking about it, hope you're having a great time Rach...
Juliejim sorry to hear about your DHs friend
Well I have looked everywhere for the shoes, I've found the recept which has the 2 pairs on so I definately bought them! I'll maybe find them by the time DS1 fits them (has smaller feet) DS2 can wear his trainers until I manage to get some more, finding velcro shoes in a 4 is a challenge!
Winds calmed here in the last half an hour or so, I'm hoping I have not spoken too soon. Need to sort DS2s clothes and boots to go on his quad tomorrow, then more sorting in DS1s room which looks like a bomb has hit it still. I need to sort a cake for DS2s birthday tomorrow aswell. One day I might be more organised...........

Was just thinking that myself. The weather down here is sunny. Just hope its as good just a bit further south for her.
Thinking of you Rach.
Right off to wonder for the weekend. Take care everyone.

 she will be a mrs by now:beer:
sitting with my lunch. DS now napping which will hopefully give me a couple of hours off. I've put some but not all of the bedding on the line. I think the sheets might blow away in this weather.
I've just peeled the veg for our tea, so all i will need to do is flick the gas on later.
it is really making me appreciate the help i normally get - i don't think i would be cut out for doing it by myself at the minute with a little one.
i think i will wash up next, and then perhaps do som school work as it isn't going to get done by just looking at it unfortunately.

Just had a quick read of some of the posts, dont have much time today so i just want to wish Rach all the happiness in the world:D She'll be mrs by now, hoping you have a lovely day.The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0

kids have made a base with all my cardboard recycling and have squished every box inc the one I kept to store it in, the sitting room looks like a complete bomb site.
Michelle however much I wouldn't wish for you to be alone, I think you would be able to do it easily, you're so organised, I think I am missing the organised gene, says it all when I find a book called 'Why am I so disorganised?' which I thought I'd lost.....
Good news is DS2s quad started, has been a while since he last used it, just need to find his clothes now, praying they fit as I don't fancy a trip to Newcastle and buying more, his MX trousers were £120!
Right off to find them and start some more tackling DS1s room, we've told the boys that it all must be done before the 2nd of February which is the official start date for the course, I am hoping (well I can hope even if it's likely to be impossible) to have all the rooms sorted, all the unpacking done etc by then so we just have to keep on top of things as we're trying to cram in what the OU said have split into 2 years in one....must be mad.
Wonder where Pigpen is, and it the wobbly is finished, maybe the wobbly has eaten her up.....One day I might be more organised...........
