  • Mudbath - I absolutely understand that. If they keep supporting the neighbour, those who are paid to do so won;t know how much help she actually needs. The best they can do is withdraw and there's no way they should be having to get up to assist her at 4 in the morning. What if something happened to them. Then it would be more than Mrs Neighbour needing support and that doesn't bear thinking about.

Tatties and neeps - salt and pepper!

Now I really will get to bed!

Wondering where I put DS2s other shoes, I got him 2 pairs when they were 'buy one get one half price' and I just can't find the second pair anywhere

This'll give you a laugh. Back last summer when I got all DS's school uniform stuff I bought a bag for his PE kit and a shoe bag. One was the school logo green one, one was a spiderman one. I distinctly remember a few days before school asking him which one he wanted for his shoebag, he said the spiderman one, so I put the school green one away til this term when they started PE.
Of course the night before this term started and he was supposed to take the kit in, I turned the house upside down looking for the bloomin bag. Could I find it ? Could I h*ll. And still haven't.

But then this week I suddenly remembered _ I never actually bought it :o Not much wonder I couldn't find it ....:rotfl:

tiamai_d - oh dear, not a good day. Poor you. :kisses3: it better! Bet the xbox hadn't been used for years anyway - boys and their toys! And if they're that bad, they should be in bed. You know what they say: Children get colds, men get flu and women..........get on with it!

BTW - The way to tell if someone really does have flu is to tell them there's a £20 note on the doorstep. If they can go to get it - they don;t have flu. ( times out of 10 people (mostly men) say things like "I've had a touch of flu", when they've really just had a nasty cold. It makes me so cross. And they'll be the ones who don't go for a flu jab!

LOL! I tried that, a leg came off the couch!

He has severe diarrhea and stomach cramps and been sick, so either a bug or food poisoning. I think the latter as he has been eating from a horrid chip shop when working.

    Have brilliant weekends everyone :)
    Jillxx

    My leftovers from the week:

    Clean kitchen floor

    Clear inside of bureau

Clean front door and step - its filthy
    Sort magazines under coffee table
Sort out 3-6 month clothes for DD2 - before they are too small for her

And in readiness for next week:

    Dailies:
    DW emptied
    Brekkie and tidy up
    WM on
    Lunch and tidy up
    WM into TD
    Tea and tidy up
    DW on
    TD emptied
    15 mins sorting garage
    15 mins filing paperwork
    15 mins sorting receipts
    15 weeks syncing spreadsheet

The last 4 are my major clutter points, I keep waiting for an evening to sort it all and it just never happens of course, so a bit at a time. The receipts and spreadhseet I can do in front of the telly.

Okay - I've been sat here for about 2 hours catching up on all the posts - I started on page 16!

Hugs to all - there were loads of people who needed them.

    Have a wonderful day rach.

Not been on much this week - had a load of catching up to do for work, DH's friend died and it's just been hectic.

Right, I'm going to go and do a few jobs but then I'm going to strike them off next week's list so I'm in front rather than behind!

Well done JillD on your first week back in Fly-mode, you've done loads and every reason to be pleased with yourself!
Juliejim, I like that reverse psychology approach! I'll try that instead of beating myself up and playing catch up I'm actually getting ahead on next weeks list :rotfl: I like that!

Another noisy windy night here and rain on top of that so no outside jobs for me today. I updated my finances last night and if I'm determined to shave off £50 of my overdraught this month I've got £8 until Thursday so I won't be going out playing this weekend either. Ho hum, time to find some at home things to keep me busy.
Sending dry weather vibes to Rach for her wedding at noon and don't freak out vibes to my mate who's flying to the States this morning and hates to fly. That'll keep me busy for a bit :D

    Morning

Awww sorry to hear about your DH's friend Julie x

mattress toppers can't remember who was asking about them, but I've got one and I wouldn't be without it. Infact I've got a new double bed but a single MT and I ended up having to put it on cause I couldn't sleep on a normal mattress, great for your back, they're warm and extremely comfortable. If you can afford one, buy one!!!!

Made a start in the house already, I've woken up full of beans and raring to go (kinda) my mind's full of things I have to organise this week so I can get a routine going, and I'm ever so excited about all the dosh I'm gonna have (not loads but more than I'm used to) and I'm planning all the things I can do with it LOL Thanks to everyone who posted kind words and thoughts for me about my new job and how to plan things *mwah*

Right, list time:- Solway I've taken your advice and decided NOT to play catch up on the weekends, it's not what flylady is all about so I've crossed off the bathroom and other rooms which I was gonna do today, just dailies and washing and will fit in the flying list next week on the appropriate days, *nods*

    S&S kitchen
    empty DW
    reload DW
    WM x ??
    TD x ??
    make beds
    [strike]S&S living room[/strike]
    [strike]
take out frozen chicken to thaw
    [/strike]
make 2 x curries and rice (freeze one)
    tidy spare room/pc room (I HAVE to - it's a pit)
do meal plan and shopping list for coming week (and hope I get some money to pay for it lol)
update diary for the coming week.
hang some clothes up in relevant wardrobes.
    sweep through

that'll keep me off the streets for a while. Laters alligators xx

edit:Question Does anyone know where they're still flogging good quality christmas cards in the sale? I'm gonna need loads this year if I'm still working and I'd rather buy them cheap. Ta!
  • Morning folks.

3 hours for Rachel - how exciting  I bet she is at the hairdressers as we speak being pampered. Perhaps with a glass of champers in hand. ;) I wish we could see her today.

I am feeling a bit better tonight. Lights out for me at 10:30 last night, and charlie didn't wake me up till 7:30, so apart from through the night loo trips for me which is unavoidable at this stage, it was a good nights sleep and has refreshed me. The weather looks nice for the day, but very windy, so i may attempt to get DH's jumpers out on the line and dry them there, and that will help the place look tidier.

Charlie's extra sleep has left him in a really pleasant mood, so i am going to enjoy the day with my boy. Breakfast was weetabix, i think we may manage a tin of soup for our lunch, and i may make a fish pie for our tea with some veg.

I am going to start by getting the WM on with those jumpers, and then i think it is time to get dressed as someone has a stinky nappy - usually a good sign it is time to make a move. :rotfl:

have a good day everyone, and mudbath, i promise to tackle the sitting down things like watch the film and read my magazine as a higher priority than household jobs, but i still need to do some other stuff to do. I will take it steady and not rush. If i go visit my sister and mum i will get lots of help and not even need to change nappies. so it will be a rest.

    Michelle, x
