Hi ashbart, oh you can use them with an electric blanket, I use mine with no probs, it's a memory foam mattress that I have, got it from pricebusters shopping channel (now gone) for £50 but I know Aldi/Lidl usually have them for around the same price.

Must get tea on the go...

Dustykitten - Just wondering what P&P you put on one item of cloth shopping for your ebay clothes?
I have charged between £1.95 and £2.50 depending on the weight. That only just covers postage and listing fees but I think helps to get the stuff shifted. I am really pleased I will make £35 from the 4 items I have sold and have 4 more finishing later of which 2 have quite low bids at the moment.

We just had a spectacular sunset here. I have spent the afternoon out clearing the long border at the front, it looks so much tidier and a few bulbs are starting to flower. I could not beleive that weeds were sprouting already.

Just had pizza for tea to clear some space in the freezer. Feel all sluggish now, I need to find my list.

Kaz I was looking for recipes for something to do with yet more stewing steak I found (nice quality so doesn't need hiding) tried goulash and it was pleurgh! Not had much luck so far.

Ashbart it depends what it weighs as to what it costs to post, I've had denim items cost me £5 to post before. I always wrap it, weigh it then use the postage calc on www.royalmail.com

I cleared the base, DS2 piled it up and I have bagged it, that's in the garage with the rest of the recycling to go to the tip on Monday. Made dinner, meatballs and cream sauce yummy!

tiamai its easy to spend a fortune in Blackpool, we spent over £1000 the first time I took the boys for a week, but since then I have been much more careful. I'll drop you a PM in a bit, we've been there 4 times with the boys now, spent less and less each time. Edit - forgot to include on PM carers go free in a few places, enquire at each one first and take 'proof of being a carer' with you such as carers allowance form etc.

Kids happily watched Harry Potter, something they have never been interested in before really so quite suprised. Something else on they want to watch now so I think I will put my feet up with a cuppa, anyone want one? I've found some choccy orange segments too :D think I will do the online banking etc while I am here....may aswell. I might price up memory foam mattress toppers online aswell, someone said costco have them cheapish so going to check online first...
One day I might be more organised...........

    For Lilme

This is a beef casserole recipe we have tried and liked

1.5 lb stewing or braising steak cut into cubes
    3ox smoked streaky bacon
    2 onions
    1 clove garlic
    3/4 pt beef stock
    2 carrots
    a few strips orange peel
    large pinch mixed herbs
    2 tblsp oil
    2 tblsp chopped parsley
    1 tblsp flour
    1 tblsp tomato puree
    S & P
    • Set oven to 180/Gas mark 4
    • Chop onions and bacon, slice carrots and crush garlic
    • Mix flour S&P on a plate, toss meat in it until each piece is coated
    • Heat 1 tblsp oil in the casserol and fry carrots and onions a few mins, remove and put aside
    • Heat rest of oil in casserole add meat and stir until browned all over.
    • Return the veg to the casserole dish with the meat. Add the tomato puree, garlic, herbs and orange peel
    • Add the stock and stir. Put lid on casserole and cook for about 2 hours until meat tender.

    Hiya
Just wanted to pop on and say congratulations Rach or should I say congratulations Mrs OH (don't know his name so that'll have to do!).

I've not done any flying today as was working 930 until 630. I was looking forward to a nice evening in but finished work to be told we're going round to see some friends. Think I'll try and have an hour zzzzzzzzzzzz before we go.
Work was good today and everyone one booked in for the next few months.

    Hugs to everyone.

    xx

Any chocolate orange segments going spare Lil_me?

Funny old day here, done very little and my head's in a strange place. If I didn't recall predicting a mental 'slump' when I was making the most of being uneccessarily optimistic the other day I think I'd be puzzled. Just got to ride it I suppose.
Envious of those who got outside today, I'm itching to do some gardening. I spotted some snowdrops through this morning peeping through dead ferns. Tomorrow is predicted to be dry here so fingers crossed.
Pigpen, I can't help but read your.posts.in. the.manner.of.a.secret.revealled.with.a.final.breath.. entertains me anyhow.

Its dark enough for me to pop to the Co-op for milk and catfud in my dishevelled, part jamas part jog pants, greasy haired state. TTFN

PS I think Rach is a 'Mrs M' Hope she's had a fab day so far
