That's right. There's also a 2 parter for the 23rd.

I'm currently doing the 25th as promised but will hold off posting till around 22nd. Then I have the whopper 28th to get stuck into. :j
If someone could chase up the other dates to ensure they're going to done as volunteered I'd really appreciate it.“We are not interested in the fact that the brain has the consistency of cold porridge.” - Alan Turing (1912-1954)0 -
I'll PM divadee to move this to the discussions forum.Al Mac Appreciation Society No. 188

Not done the 23rd - must have missed that one - but at least I have a while to do it yet.
I didn't contribute to any of the discussion about chosing who would do which day as I knew I don't have the time atm to do any of it, maybe when things have settled down here then I'll happily do a few dates but I can't see it being in the next few months (sorry).
Huge thanks to all those who do them though, they are a life saver to me x2023 wins - Rice Krispies, Avene Micellar Gel, Barbie Toy, £20 Apple Gift Card, KFC 6 piece bargain bucket, Chloe Nomade perfume, Barbie Toy (second one), Sanctuary Spa Sleep Balm, E45 Moisturising Lotion, Trolls Hamper, 12 Tonie Characters, Sure deodorant, Good Home Utensil holder, £5 Costa Gift Card, Neutrogena Micellar Jelly, Soap & Glory Mascara, Persil capsules,0 -

Just a little reminder - please don't re-title a post with 'please delete', etc, as someone else has to pick it up with a PM to a BG.
It is a bit unfair that iIalone have done about 25+ of these in the last week, and I know (from talking to BGs) that they get missed/lost on the board if those of us who do pick them up, don't.
There are some very experienced posters who do this - I'll post this in the compers' inn and on the discussions thread, too, as I am a little p:D:Dsed off about doing it so often.
Newbies are excused, as I was.:D:D
??? I'm a bit confused by your post???
I've usually edited my thread titles to say duplicate (as well as deleteing the link in the post) as I understood it helped the forum run smoother. If the title has duplicate, then people know not to click & open it whereas if it said something like holiday or LCD TV it'd waste a load of people's time opening a thread, possibly disqulaifying themselves, or having to scroll down to see the post saying its a duplicate. If they get missed, then the thread falls down the boards and eventually rests on the bottom pages.
I'm also confused as to how it causes the BG's extra work compared to either dealing with a separate merge request for a duplicate, or simple deletion. (I can, however, understand them getting annoyed with 25 PMs for something that's not actually needed.)
Finally, if it pi**es you off, why are newbies excused but others not? - what's a newbie? Someone who has lurked on here for months entering comps but has only just signed up, or someone who has 100 posts to their username from elsewhere on the site but has only stared using the comps forum today.
If you are going to take on the mantle of deputy BG, could you do something about the enormous variety of end dates & threads without any end date. Now that would really help the board run a lot smoother for everyone. From MSE Martin - Some General Tips On Holiday Home Organisations and Sales Meetings
DO NOT TOUCH ANY OF THEM WITH A BARGEPOLE!0 -
I'll send a PM to the BG's RA (right away :rotfl: ) about the expiry dates
We seem to be split as to the benefits of the Comp Ending lists but am I right in thinking we're becoming unified over the array of expiry date formats?
How do you think the BG's will feel about the policing of it?“We are not interested in the fact that the brain has the consistency of cold porridge.” - Alan Turing (1912-1954)0 -
No, there isn't, unless they are daily or weekly and can go on one of those threads0

I subcribe to the threads once I've entered (as well as click the Thanks button). I also subscribe to the ones I don't want to enter so I don't read them again. That gives me a tick beside each thread I've been to and I know I've done it.
To subscribe to a thread click the 'Thread Tools' button at the top and click on 'Subscribe to this thread'.
