AFAIK there is only one agreed format which is in the stickies by Divadee and goes:-
E: XX/YY
I hold up my hands and have to admit I do forget to use the colon and space, and will often abrievate to single figures like E 27/2 instead of E: 27/02.
At the moment, however, we have ones starting e, e/d and even S? and some without any end date.
One final complication if I may, I often find comps in the LondonPaper and they often finish at 10am and likewise the Mirror's often end at noon, and I include this in the title following a request last year from people who found the comps closed when they entered on the closing date but after these times. From MSE Martin - Some General Tips On Holiday Home Organisations and Sales Meetings
DO NOT TOUCH ANY OF THEM WITH A BARGEPOLE!0 -
Sometimes my computer runs really slow and opening up posts just to find they are not internet/email based is very frustrating - can we either have a separate place for them or can people specify in the title please?
I also always appreciate those who let me know if it's email in their title.
Thanks

I agree that it would be helpful if TEXT or POSTAL could possibly be written in the title. I find people that write EMAIL in the title very helpful too as on days when I don't have much time I tend to ignore these threads. I've only found 1 comp but I did write EMAIL in the title hehe
Thanks to all those who post anyway and I'm aware that many people will reply with 'they have enough to do as it is' etc but thought I might aswell add that I personally would find this helpful as I'm sure many others would.
Good luck in all comps. xx0 -
I subcribe to the threads once I've entered (as well as click the Thanks button). I also subscribe to the ones I don't want to enter so I don't read them again. That gives me a tick beside each thread I've been to and I know I've done it.
To subscribe to a thread click the 'Thread Tools' button at the top and click on 'Subscribe to this thread'.

I like this idea, think I'll try it myself, as I can't use the Thanks button from my PC, have to try and remember to go back and thank posters when I'm using a different PC. So by subscribing I can also track the posts I need to thank as well as the comps i've entered.
(will thank you later in week for this tip, when I'm on another PC) lol :rotfl:0 -
I think thats a good idea as there is a postal thread. There are getting more and more Phone or text comps now as the comps listed get more, so if there was a sticky for 'postal' and a sticky for 'phone/text' it might help tidy the forum up a bit?Weight Loss - 102lb0

Thanks for this, I'll have to try that. I have just started using an old large page-to-a-day diary that cost me about 20p in a boot sale (it's for 1982) and I write the ones I enter in there under the closing date as well as thanking people on the forum. Some I don't put in there like ones that finish that day by midnight, etc."Every day when I wake up I thank the Lord I'm Welsh" Cerys Matthews0 -
I think it's a good idea too0

I subscribe to threads too, as well as thanking the OPs, that way my entries are all neatly stored away in my cp for future reference, and have the ticks next to them so I don't even have to open them to know I've entered them.
I just hope theres no limit to the amount of threads you can store on here.Tightwad. And proud of it!

Me too, I'm up to about 13800 at the moment and really should go and delete some of the old ones
