This would work even better if the standard rate and premium rate phone/text competetitions had separate threads. Many people enter the former, but not the latter.

Another thought on the end date if I may.

I'm sure we can all agree there's going to be, and continue to be an awful lot of comps being posted with the incorrect date. Recognising peeps often get annoyed when others tell them they've posted a duplicate, could we agree on a standard set of words which everyone could use when asking the OP to change their title. E.g.

"Thanks for the comp. Can you change the title to start E: 29/02 (noon). This will help the BGs and everyone else sort the competitons. To edit the title choose edit, then advanced."

Apologies if this has already been posted - I searched but couldn't find what I wanted.

Does anyone know if there is anywhere to check the answers for the Chat mag special issue. Marina's comp page has the answers for the Take a break special so I can fill in the couple of answers I was missing but not so for Chat.

The answer page lists it as Chat Puzzles Issue 1 with a closing date of 28 March 2008.

Thanks also mpython for the words to notify incorrect posts. Before we do that though I'd suggest we all wait feedback from the Board Guides. I PMd them today and they'll hopefully get back tomorrow.

I today compiled a list of everyone who's posted using an incorrect format. It includes ME (:eek:) and I've already suitably slapped my wrists. I have to say though that the MAJORITY of people have been doing it wrong so it isn't any wonder things are so hard to find. :rotfl:

May I suggest we correct any post from the 01/03 of our own for the moment?

Ive corrected most of mine that are still in the comps section that are still running. It didnt really take me too long, I did it by:

clicking on your profile

clicking to find all threads started by you

when it brings up the list of all threads you have started if you double click in the box where the subject is it will let you edit the title without having to go thrugh the edit post and advanced - note you have to double clik in the subject box but in the white area - ie dont double click on the writing

I just went through the 12 most recent pages editing like this and it took me 10 mins max

Well why dont you post the ones that you have? that would be a good start if you are expecting other people to post them when they have them.
