I would do that, with an adult who eats with cutlery. ;-)
Would not do that with a child who eats with his fingers, sucks fingers, picks !!!!!!s out of its nose and sticks his fingers in his food again....

    ..

    ;-)

How do you eat with your cutlery though? I use my fork to steady food which I cut with my knife then I put my whole fork into my mouth and eat the food off that, and repeat using the same fork. Or I put my spoon in a soup, suck the liquid off my spoon and put it back in the soup. So even as an adult who uses cutlery my food has just as much saliva in it as any child's would have. Do boogers have more or different germs than saliva anyway or are they just a different texture?

I'd reheat and eat my own portion of half eaten food later that day or the next day, but I wouldn't expect anyone else to have to eat my saliva tainted leavings :D
  • If its left over in the pot i'd use it but never scrape from plates. Far too many germs!

    I agree.

I always keep LOs from the pots and pans in the kitchen or from serving dishes at the table. I'd never use LOs off plates though. Maybe make an exception if it was from my own plate but that rarely happens!:rotfl:

Dont get the chance in our house the dog and four cats eat the left overs. One of our cats eats anything although we try not to let her.

Mine likes biscuits, soup, tagatellie cant spell that, toast, crisps, chips in fact anything she can get her nose into. Maybe when she was a stray that she got a taste for anything she could find in the bin.
  • IMO whatever has been on your plate you can eat the next day, but if it has been on the plates it doesn't get put back into communal use IYSWIM. If it is left in the pan then that is fine for communal use.
  • Always make leftovers for lunch and occasionally if me or oh don't finish I will use that as a lunch. I have no pets so just me n him and if I can snog him i can eat off his leftovers lol

I tend to freeze any leftover curry sauce in one person portions (in a disposable plastic cup) - then if anyone wants curry sauce - it can be defrosted and reheated in the time it takes the oven chips to cook.
