Ugh! ^^^^ That's my bridge too far. Making soup from ingredients that have other people's fingers, lips, teeth and saliva all over them ..! Perhaps not so bad if it's only your family that touched them and your family that eat the soup but I wouldn't relish an invitation to supper at your house if your economical soup was on the menu.
My other one is refusing to take a sample of cheese, ham, bread or whatever is displayed above the deli counter if it is completely uncovered/unprotected. Have you seen how grubby some of the people leaning over are ...?I'd rather have my sample free of dandruff, grubby coat cuffs, coughs, spittle etc. (Shudders!)

Hubby gets in the bath after me, my baths are always a funny colour cause I use so much soap and products, he still gets in tho and sometimes i'll get in after him.
I'm another one who thinks family cloths are too far.
I once read on here about someone who kept the bones from a KFC to make chicken stock, yeah soup made from chicken other people have eaten is a step to far for me.
A used unreliable car because it's cheaper. I don't want to be stranded somewhere on my own or with 3 kids just to save a few £.DEC GC £463.67/£450

Home made sanitary pads are up there on the top of the list as well.
as are family cloths instead of toilet paper...
ieeuwwww...
Lol, I've heard of that as well. I'm not sold on how money saving it would be either, unless the person who does it is for environmental reasons perhaps. You would have to do more laundry, unless you're ok to mix the cloths and pads with the rest of your regular washing and the increase to costs for water, electricity and laundry detergent. Cheaper and more time saving to bulk buy the toilet paper and sanitary products whenever there's a special sale going on in store, which there usually is!0 -

I take it you're also not a big fan of those chocolate fountains either?0 -
I'd use the children's bath water topped up, I make the children share water. But I wouldn't jump in after my DH!
But some people think that us using leftover shower/bath water on the flowers/fruit/veg is too much! But DH has finally agreed to a water butt, because he hates running up and down the stairs to fetch water.
I won't use anything leftover from the dinner plates either. But do reuse leftovers by never overfilling plates.
I use bought loo roll and nappies, because anything else is gross! If anyone wants me to use proper nappies then they can wash them, I don't want the faff of soaking them and having it go in my washing machine!
I don't reuse tea bags.
And I hate hankies!
I also hate chicken broth soup, I always feel hungry afterwards... And I stopped making my own stock because it was too much hassle and I'd forget to use it because it was frozenWe spend money we don't have, on things that we don't need, to impress people we don't like. Oh the old tin bath in front of the fire and our poor old Mum lugging pans of hot water from the kitchen no wonder she threw the 3 us in together

*giggle*
I will only use bones that my family have touched yes.
I kiss them quite happily, so the thought of a tiny bit being attached to any bone that gets cooked for hours is not on my problem list. :rotfl:
I agree with the deli counter stuff.
I won't eat any of that either. Mostly for fear of kids who pick their nose, stick fingers in mouths and scratch their bums, touching bits and then deciding to put them back again...0 -

I live on my own so no sharing baths for me (I use the showers at the local gym). I'll happily buy charity shop clothes. Use leftovers for next day meals.0

so glad that it's not just me.. I am made to feel like a alien because I think this is totally unhygienic and gross.
I'd rather not get a wash than have used bath water!.. I dump the children in together then rinse them down with the shower.. I don't go swimming because I don't like the thought of wallowing in other people dirt and body fluids I certainly wouldn't be wanting to wallow in the OH's or the childrens grot either.
I won't use food from plates but regularly use veg past its best and make new meals from extra food.. not that we often have any!!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0
