Sometimes I find thinning out with a bit of milk works better than water. Either way, I don't see why it wouldn't work, although I'd definitely suggest thinning it as a liquid first in case you have issues with lumps. Then you can whisk them out before you add the veg etc. to it.0

Neither.
It's intelligent use of resources available.

I do this, I also take anything the kids leave from a roast dinner and place it in with the non-plate leftovers for a stew (my kids use cutlery
).

I think it depends on the husband. Mine shovels his food and bits drop back out onto the plate. It would be a cold day in Hell before I touched his plate scrappings!0

Nothing wrong with it! Most of my lunches are leftovers, microwaving last night's dinner in a tub is much better than cooking an actual lunch
I save all leftovers, apart from mushy stuff on the kids' plates! Almost everything can go into another meal, no need to throw it away unless it's begun growing stuff...

Any sauce left out of my slow cooker stews etc gets whizzed in the blender and eaten with fresh warm crusty bread the next day for a quick lunch.
Lovely...................make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
I use the leftover gravy/sauce as soup as it's a terrible waste to just throw it out.Lost my soulmate so life is empty.
I can bear pain myself, he said softly, but I couldna bear yours. That would take more strength than I have -

By watering it down without adding any flavours you are obviously going to end up with just watered down taste, so might need adjusting.
But if you are going to just add stuff into the sauce to make different meal out of it you won't need to.
Cannot see what would be minging about that, quite a strange use of words...0 -
I use left overs for my lunch next day all the time. We only get 1/2 hour so it is the best if I have lunch from home - and constantly thinking of something is tirying.
For example yesterday we had fantastic Hairy bikers Sausage casserole. I had some of the sauce left so I am going to have it tomorrow with some boiled rice. It will be a bit like that Uncle Bens rice lunch pot... but homemade:-))0
