Dreams bed Superstore??? Complaints?

I had exactly the same experience as you. 10 months of the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in and still extremely happy! I'd certainly use them again.
The issue you often have is that people are quick to complain about issues but far more unlikely to praise a company. You'll also find the odd person with a major chip on their shoulder that will disregard any positive thing you say about said company - if you're happy with your purchase then just enjoy it and let others grumble away
Not really. Even when Dreams do get it right, which they must do a lot of the time, but you only really hear the complaints, they are still charging double the price it is possible to get the same items elsewhere (and that's with their so called sale prices).
They use all the loopholes and dirty tricks under the sun, to convince people that they are getting a good deal, when they aren't.
This is a money saving site. But you aren't saving anything by buying from Dreams, you are paying far more.0 -
I bought a Dreams Zen mattress in Jan 13 and found that it was lop sided. I thought that this was just the bed settling in but turned the mattress a few months later. the problem persisted and I contacted Dreams Customer non-service and they said they would send someone out . They sent out the delivery driver and his assistant who pushed on the bed a few times and agreed with me that the mattress was firmer on one side, the rep said that he was a mattress tech, yeah right, 4 years at Uni for that one.. However when I went to the shop the next day expecting a positive response the rep said that because we didnt turn the mattress twice a month it was our problem. Now get this, it states on the label on the mattress that there is no need to turn and there is a ten year garantee . When I asked for a new mattress the rep at customer service said that I can get an independant report done from trading standards and send it in for them to consider it. So no joy there so I have sent an email to the chief Exec Nick Worthington to see if he can see sence.0

Go straight to trading standards, as it looks like Dreams are up to their usual tricks again.
No change with their new ownership then!!0 -
We ordered a Superking Mattress from Dreams in May, we wasn’t sure of the size so the manager advised us to go home and measure and phone him if any changes, he also gave us 2 pillows free of charge (worth £75 each) and a mattress liner.
We measured it was wrong! So I called him and told him to order a Kingsize, he returned the call and confirmed … but then went on holiday and what turned up two weeks later was a Superking!
We sent it back, the delivery guys said that there was one in stock in the Swanley warehouse but we had to call the Customer Services team first, Customer Services said we couldn’t have it as it was our fault that a Superking was on order (even though we had changed the order), after an hour on the phone the problem was sorted and a new delivery date was settled on, only to receive an email a few days before to tell us that the new delivery was a Superking (again!) SO we got a new delivery date for the Kingsize – which Dreams then changed the date again!
Finally late July we got the right mattress.
Now Dreams will only take £100 off the cost of the original price for the Superking even though in the shop the price difference is £300 – and to top it off they are now charging the £75 for the two free pillows and mattress liner so this mattress is now working out more expensive then the Superking, it wasn’t a cheap mattress it was top of the range worth about £1,800 for a Superking – now they want to charge us £1,900 for a kingsize plus pillows plus 2 deliver charges plus mattress liner!
I have no idea where I stand in relation to demanding how much I am willing to pay, I would be very grateful for any advice?0 -
Last august ordered the bed for our first house together online, was 10 days late and could never get through to anybody to complain, eventually got £40 of vouchers.
2 months later the mattress collapsed... said nothing could be done. Rang again in june as heavily pregnant and stressed/upset, they said they can exchange... found one to exchange, took over 10 days to get here and they reserved the payment on my card twice!! Also a few of the decoration bits were missing, however no more energy to complain, wouldn't reccomend or use them again.0 -

Sorry, did I understand right?
You bought the bed last August, and the mattress collapsed 2 months later, and you just accepted that they couldn't do anything about it???
Also why were they reserving a payment on your card for an exchange??0 -
I had a bad experience with dreams years ago, but had forgotten all about it. I went into their shop in Bromley and ordered two oak underbed drawers, which I was shown in the shop, similar to the ones I bought together with bed and matrass years ago. Delivery on time, but came as a flatpack! The first drawers I bought were ready assembled, and the ones shown in the shop were also ready assembled. I checked my invoice, no mention of flatpack. I called customer service who was no service at all and fobbed me off, saying I could have it assembled. Cost £50!! They refused to take it back and the delivery man told me he had already had several same complaints.
Dreams refuses to take it back, and I cannot and will not pay the extra money, let alone the inconvenience of waiting another day and not having the space anyway for assembly which is why I bought the things in the first place.
I thought that kind of thing was illegal?0 -

To be fair to Dreams (even though they don't often give me reason to back them up). They have been struggling financially, and actually went into liquidation last year (but were then bought out). So it is understandable that they have cut costs for both transport and assembly.
If you go into the store, and look at the same products, then have a close look at the details. It should say somewhere that they are for self assembly. Or will say that you can have them assembled for £50.0 -
