me and my boyfriend purchased a bed from dreams (well paid £70 deposit as it was pay nothing until summer) on 3rd december 11 and waited 6 weeks for our delivery date (13/01/2012) we accepted that and went away - the 13th came and no bed turned up - after my boyfriend taking the afternoon of work, as it was a friday cust services and delivery office wernt open till monday - the store was usless and didnt help us at all promised us call backs and didnt deliver them. i got told to leave the store as there wasnt anything they could do, never in my life as a customer have i felt so angry at a company.
i cancled the order on the 20/01/2012 and they advised me 7 days for the refund, several calls to customer services and i finally find out my refund hasnt been processed by the most awfull customer service advisor who was rude and basicaly sounded like she couldnt be arsed doing her job.
I have wrote a letter to them on the 08/02/2012 but no reply and sent several emails and i found when i rang through to customer service i was on hold for a good 15 mins each time and on two Occasions i rang through and the advisors started to introduce themselves "i got cut off" .....
i have been promised compensation by the store but i have to ring customer services to claim it, who then say because the store have said that i have to go back to the store??? sooo confussed!!!
has anybody got any suggestions at all on what i can do as i just have no idea what to do i cant contact my bank as only £50 was paid by debit card and £20 by cash.

I'm having the same problem as most of the posts on this forum. Two failed delivery dates. Have gone into store for a refund and they go on about how they can't do it. It has to go via customer services. They can't give me proof the refund will go through. And I will have to wait 7-10 days to be more than likely disappointed again. I will never buy from them again an advise everyone else not to. I have also heard rumours they not might be with us much longer. No surprise there.0

HI
On an amusing note Yodel called again yesterday to arrange our delivery, I chuckled and told them we had already had the bed delivered. This flumoxed the the lady calling me who told me I would have to contact head office and tell them I no longer wanted the bed. No, I explained there is no bed, you already delivered it. 'Well you will have to contact them or they will deliver another one' she said. not bloody likely!
A bit of advice to those struggling to get through to anyone at Dreams. Do a search on Dreams Beds and DreamTeam on Twitter and post a tweet to both of them - you should get a quick response.0 -
Hi, new to the forum but found it after searching for the dreams complaints details!
What is my next step as i have had a complete and utter nightmare with Dreams.
Ordered 3 beds for my kids in October. Was told delivery would take place in the next couple of days as we bought the beds on Saturday he said we would have them by tuesday/wednesday. Paid £860.
Wednesday came and no phone call nothing so i phoned the store up. Spoke to the manager and he said that one of the beds we ordered was made to order and takes up to 10days.
We didn't receive a delivery date after a couple of weeks had passed, so i phoned customer services up. Waited for 30mins to talk to someone.
Gave me a delivery date eventually so i left it at that.
The bed tops and bottoms came for 2 of the beds, no side rails, no mattresses, one set of sprung slats and no 3rd bed. The manager in the store said he would come through with the mattresses and another set of sprung slats but after he arrived we realised that there was no side rails. As the other set of slats were ex-display he took them back with him.
Arranged another delivery date by yodel. Got cancelled. Arranged another delivery date. Got cancelled but they still turned up at 22.10 with a top and bottom of the double bed and a set of normal slats! I was getting slightly annoyed at this point.
Phoned store and told them to sort it as they took my money and i could no longer stand waiting on the phone for 30mins at a time.
There was another delivery scheduled for just before christmas for the entire order. Nothing happened.
Phoned the store manager up and he agreed with me that it was ridiculous.
On 22nd December i informed the store manager i wanted to cancel my order. He said that he would sort it out for me and cancel my order. He offered to come and collect the items if they were in my way but i told him it would be ok while after christmas. He said it can take up to 10 days for my bank to process my refund.
In the meantime i ordered some more beds for my kids from the internet a lot cheaper than Dreams with better mattresses etc.
My new beds arrived, on time but i still hadn't got my refund.
The store manager came and collected the items delivered from dreams and apologised for the inconvenience.
Phoned dreams up 15th January to see where my refund was and the customer service advisor said that cancellations had only received my email yesterday, which was a total lie as the store manager sent it on the 22nd dec. He also told me that it can take 30days to process.
I replied stating that as far as I am concerned their 30days was nearly up as i cancelled on the 22nd december.
The next day i had a phone call with a delivery date for my beds LOL. Told them it was cancelled etc.
The day after they phoned my wife at home to cancel the delivery date as the beds were out of stock!!
I then recieve an email asking if they can arrange a delivery asking for one last chance to get it right and knock £150 off my bill.
You can imagine my response. I demanded my money back and explained everything that had happened.
She replied asking for my card details for the refund.
The details were sent 1st Feb. I still have not had my refund and i sent another email asking for it at the start of the week and got no reply.
What can i do now? I am reaching the end of my tether. I am being totally ignored by this company now i want my money back.
Never again will i order from dreams again.0 -
Just another quick update!
We had the vouchers finally delivered today!
So for all the problems we had, we managed to get £200 worth of vouchers.
In all fairness, the manager in the Bristol Store could not help us enough, he has done all the chasing around, called cust services for me and arranged everything!
One very happy customer!0
