Dreams bed Superstore??? Complaints?

The woman at the local store just quoted me an interesting fact - they have 150 failed deliveries a day.....0
-
Dreams had called earlier in the week to say it would now be next Saturday as the headboard had not arrived, so I wasn't actually expecting anyone today. Will speak to head office on Monday and cancel and agree the level on compensation, might be able to afford a John Lewis bed if I am lucky!!! Annoyingly a guy at work ordered his 3 weeks ago and got it delivered yesterday from Dreams :-(0
-
Fingers crossed!
Im almost hoping that ours does not turn up now, i have seen a nicer all beit a bit more expensive bed with Bensons. So if it does not turn up, then i will be ordering a new one from there tomorrow.
They currently have a 5-7 working day delivery date!0 -
Ok an update....
I phoned up the manager of the dreams branch yesterday at 15:00 as i had not heard anything all day. The guy said that they are on their way as they had been into the store to pick up the clearance mattress that we ordered. He tried to call them whilst i was on the phone but could not get hold of them.
The manager called me back 5 mins later to say that they would be delivering the bed between 15:15-15:45.
15:35 and the buzzer went, it was our bed!
Fortunately they were delivering rather than picking up! So they got the bed in and the mattress. I looked at the mattress and realsied it was not the one we ordered! But on closer inspection, it appeared to be a brand new one rather than a ex display one! So i did not mind to much. Upon looking on the dreams website, the mattress we got, was actually the next model up from the one we ordered! So i was not complaining at all, especially as the the mattress we ordered was reduced from £729-£380 and the one we got was not reduced at all and originally cost £850!
So together with the £200 vouchers i have received and the upgraded mattress, i am quite happy!
Fingers crossed for you Briar that you get a huge compensation and your happy when it finally arrives!!0 -
I have today received delivery of my new Ottoman bed, Tempur Matress, and Headboard with no problems at all.
Ordered 3/1/12, told 6-8 weeks for delivery, delivered in 4 weeks.
The only hiccup I had was that I was given a delivery date, which was originally tomorrow, so I booked the day off work. Then had a call to say it had be moved to Tuesday. But I called back and told them the situation, I couldn't have another day off, so they changed it to today (Sunday). My only complaint is that it does take a while to get through to customer services. but I just put my phone on speaker and waited... Their 'hold music' is annoying though lol.
The delivery guys were great, they even took their shoes off at the front door because of the snow lol. It was delivered in a Dreams van, so I assume they were Dreams Delivery Men and not Yodel couriers.
My only concern now, is that my matress feels alot more firm than the one in the store. So I am hoping that if I decide it isn't suitable they will uphold their '40 night' policy.
But I've got to say, I have been satisfied with the service so far.0 -
Well done Reggie!
KLD do you mind me asking what region of the country you are in - we have been told that Dreams no longer use their own vans in the north west (we are Manchester way). Are you elsewhere?0 -
I bought goods from Dreams at a cost of over £2300. After a failed delivery and waiting the contract stated 14 days I put it in writing I wished to cancel the order.
I was told the money would be returned within 10 days, gues what 10 days later no money. Contacted Dreans unhlepfull line and I have to wait another 10 days as the first request for a refund was not authorised as it was above the limit the customer services could authorise. I'm paying interest on a credit card for Dreams to have the luxuary of making interest on my money.
This goes back to 16th December 2011 and today is the 8th February 2012, still no money.
Stear clear of these parasites who use your money to get interest and then keep you waiting for a refund.:mad:0 -
I work within Dreams. And am willing to discreetly help as many unhappy customers out as possible. As I to find the customer services, and after sales a completely sickening experience. Every aspect of my job that I enjoy, is destroyed by the lack of support offered to our customers. I aim to help as much as I can. Please email me at

My wife purchased some bedding from dreams last week and payed cash, she then changed her mind and returned the goods unopened to the store for a refund. No cash refunds from store (no signs in store) give name and address and wait for a cheque from head office,if you are not happy write a letter we were told.So if you buy anything from Dreams and pay cash you cannot return the goods for a cash refund.0

They don't have to refund you for simply changing your mind.14 Projects in 2014 - in memory of Soulie - 2/140
