Just got an email to say the Now christmas 2005 album is on offer for £5.99 delivered.

I love listening to Chrimbo music when I wrap my pressies up, which might be soon if I keep doing so well!

I bought the mincemeat from Lidl last year and it was lovely.

Just to let everyone know, if you have a Jackass fan in the house Play.com is selling the complete Jackass collection including a special 4th disc in a presentation box for £9.99. Apparently it's normal retail price is £34.

Cheers Moggins! I ordered this for my DS - and it's the first in my Christmas Present Box! Normally have started ages before but this thread has got me into the Christmas Spirit - good thing with it is that it LOOKS so much more expensive than a tenner, Nipper will be well impressed :T

Last year I picked up some cheap crackers at Tesco when for some odd reason they sold them off cheaer in Dec
I took them home, undid one end of each an stuffed a chocloate in (freebie from the goodfoodshow a few weeks earlier) and a scratch card :) 2 had small wins but they were all a success :)

Just started my Rumtopf too - making 3 - 1 for me and family at x-mas, 2 for gifts. One cheap bottle of rum, get pretty jars (Ikea) and put a layer of pretty fruit, good generous handful of suger, layer of fruit then sugar etc and when near the top gently pour over rum ensuring you cover the fruit. Leave at least 1 month before giving :)

  • asda now have the back to school stationery and bags etc reduced.
this morning i picked up pencil case rolls filled with pencils, rubbers, crayons, etc reduced from £4 to £1. cardboard type CD storage boxes (girly colours) reduced from £1.75 to 48p,with matching a4 file 50p, hard back note books 30p and 65p and an expanding file £1.25. makes a lovely stocking filler for teenage DD and only a couple of quid for the lot.:D .Also picked up some sketch pads ,good quality, for 50p reduced from £2 and smaller a4 sized ones for 25p reduced from £1.75.

They also had lots of Dr Who stationery stuff reduced and Power rangers for those with little boys to buy for.as well as bags, pumpbags, lunchtins etc.Someone mentioned the lunchtins before as being suitable for filing with xmas gifts- they had some with cute kitty on and other football design reduced to about £1.50 I think.

It's really annoying though as they are giving the stuffaway today when two weeks ago it cost a fortune to kit DD out with stuff for school.

    *Runs and hides*

What I really need is to get my bum in gear and find myself a freakin' job so I can actually afford Christmas...THEN I'll be sorted.

  • dont know if this appeals to anyone.
when my little boy was in his first year at school instead of cards the teacher gave all the kids a small cotton bags tied with a ribbon inside it was a mixture of porrige oats and glitter, the label on the outside said it was special reindeer food. You sprinkled it outside so the reindeers used the sparkles as a signal to land at that house and while santa was in dealing with the pressies the reindeers could eat the oats. He loved it and we kept it with the decorations to refill last year. If anyone wants the exact wording that was on the tag i can post it on here.
