The next job that I really need to do is to go through my pile of 'acquisitions' and work out exactly where I am. With luck I will be able to allocate some of them to relevant people and so I'll know exactly who I need to buy for. I do know that I have some people partly organised already, but I have built up a nice pile at random sometimes and so I'm not precisely sure what I have.

There are only a few birthday's left now which should make life a whole heap easier....and less strain on the pressie pile.

My partner and I also have a nice stash of pigsback points between us. If we don't use them on leisure vouchers over the summer we might use them for Xmas....either giving the stand alone gift vouchers, or spending them on something appropriate.

However, as I'm due to 'drop bean' at the end of november I want to get things organised as soon as possible. Anything left after this time will probably get either gift vouchers, or something bought over the net.

Lily contracted Strep B Meningitis Dec 2006  Now seemingly a normal little monster.
Love to my two angels that I will never forget.
  • I thought I was the only one thinking about Christmas. Glad i'm not.
My aim is to get as many 'freebies' to give as presents. Already have the Boots make up set that came free with £15 spend (on MIL) birthday, the Suns gardening kit and the Comfort pashmina.
Collecting W.H. Smith, Tesco, Boots and Nectar points. Also tons of Avon stuff from brochure and website.

The CD wow vouchers could have gone towards DVDs but I didn't think of it.
    Still its an interesting challenge.

there are some really nice ideas in the craft section , such as

bottle wraps - solution to the wrapping bottles of plonk problem

felt sewing book - ideal as part of a beginners needlecraft kit for a little one

keepsake envelope folders - a nifty storage solution for love letters etc

origami picnic basket - made from picnic rug, this is ideal for a hamper

shell candles - one for the candle makers

soap cubes - a lovely looking gift

tea cup (candle) lights - raid charity shops/bootsales for pretty mugs to turn into gifts

water bottle carrier - ideal for active outdoor types

hand warmers - for those who feel the cold

She probably thought of the ideas while she was doing her time in jail. :D
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)
