All my friend and family think I'm mad with my cupboard to stash my prezzie for chistmas and birthdays. This year due to move didnt get my cards and wrapping paper as normally would in the sale but have got lots of ikea brown paper which will get DD printing on to wrap presents in. Though as my DD/DS keep changing their mind about prezzies I just keep putting money away until nearer the time for main prezzie but do pick up stocking filler. This year DD has started asking for bits of make-up, so am going to keep all the freebie stuff that I get and give her a little make-up bag with stuff in it. As for food have not started collecting my stamps yet.
Will be reading through this thread when I've got a bit of time, this should help me keep on track.GC: £400/ £00 -

I realise now that my grandparents were doing this while I was in my teens because I used to get odd random bits of very expensive make-up - and I absolutely loved that I had some good quality things (as well as one of those ubiquitous sets from Argos with scarlet lipstick, hard black eyeliner and 32 bright patches of [STRIKE]chalk[/STRIKE] eyeshadow that most girls used to seem to start with!) I'm sure DD will be thrilledDo I Need One Stops All Unnecessary Reckless Spending£2 CSC - £30 :kisses3:0 -

Done one better lol!! I never got my vouchers for november and although chased once never really chased again (forgot) but today i relaised I managed to loose my most recent vouchers (about £14.50 worth  ) so caled Tesco clubcard and asked if they could cancel and re-issue "certianly madam! Oh I notive you never used your november vouchers either... *insert explanation of chasing about them* well i'll cancel those and re-issue them too for you so you'll get them AND the last vouchers plus the new amount for the next statement, is that ok?" uhmmm yeah thanks!!!!!
So £7.50 (nov) + £14.50(last statement) + £4 from my OHs account merging with mine + what is in between including 1000 points from shopping online for the first time. Multiply by 4 for another voucher scheme with Tesco and we're talking £144 upwards of voucher rewardsyay!!!

I must admit to having lots of Xmas pressies hidden away too. Boots No.7 £5.00 off vouchers are put to good use purchasing Nail varnish etc for my daughters stocking or for the usual "Mum I've been invited to ***'s party". The whole family have agreed a set limit for pressies this year. Boots came up trumps after christmas though and I managed to get my neice's birthday and xmas present for a fraction of the normal cost. Only snag is now my kids are both in their teens and what they would like for christmas etc. changes on a daily basis. Money into the building society is the way forward this year, that way if I see something then the money is there for a change instead of using the cc. I aim to have all my xmas shopping done by August except for the teenagers and the granny's!!!:j0

Well, okay, seeing as you all have got me started again!..
I am actually knitting my first Christmas present for 2006. It's a "Very Hungry Caterpillar" draught excluder. I'll be doing the same for two, possibly three friends of around my age (29) who grew up with the Eric Carlyle book of the same name. It's so easy to knit, besically a long scarf with tapered ends, made into a cylinder and stuffed. I'll let you know how it turns out! I bought the pattern from a girl on ebay who had made the pattern up, I think. I thought the draught excluder bit made it a green and OS present as well as handmade. I thought I'd make a smaller version as a toy for my nephew, with the book, for one of his presents.
Anyway, I think knitted versions of favourite cult book or TV characters for people of my generation, is a winner! I think I may design a Moomin!!0
