I must admit I had thought that contemplating Christmas too early in the year was going a bit too far.... but yesterday I went in a shop that was selling small "stocking fillers" very cheaply - so I bought some.
Ok, so what's the problem?
Well, two of the gifts I bought were lovely pen sets for my two granddaughters - with their names on ... reduced to 50p! What a bargain!

So what, I hear you ask - it's not that far till Christmas, is it?
Well, ermm...... but my granddaughters are aged 15 months and 1 month .... I think they may not be getting the pens this Christmas... or the next ... or the..............0 -

oh, this has just made my 40th birthday in 10 days just pale into insignificance!!!!!But I'm going to say this once, and once only, Gene. Stay out of Camberwick Green0 -
Last night while waiting for my bath to run I decided to declutter the shelves in the bathroom and found 3 bars of soap that I haven't used. Since DD got 4 bars for Christmas in her stocking, OH got a bar, and I got loads as well I know that I won't be using those particular ones so onto the temporary Xmas shelf in the bedroom along with 2 pedicure sets I picked up for DSILs in the poundshop last week!
I think SIL's are nearly finished, my nanna is getting a box of heavy groceries again from Tescos with my vouchers (she has osteoperosis so its difficult for her to do her shopping), some homebaking for FIL & his father, other GdadIL will get a bottle of rum, MIL - bottle of wine & big jar of olives, I have to bake the Christmas Cake for IL's & the rest of my family I'm not posting on account of some of them reading this forum!
My Christmas cards for family are made and I have envelopes - but I need to get some more from Homebargins (29p for ones that are suitable for cards made from A5 card - cheaper than buying the proper envelopes). None family cards I still have shop bought ones - second year in a row that I haven't had to buy cards for UK people. I do have to buy 6 "foreign" ones and post them with little newletters in them (which I might get OH to photocopy in work rather than use our ink) but obviously they will have to wait until they appear in the shops. DD starts school next week so I can start going shopping on my own and finish things like this off so I can concentrate on getting all my ebay stuff out of here!
You know what ... I might just have to go and dig out my Jive Bunny Xmas CD :dance::dance:Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
