Can those who wish to discuss the ethics & right & wrongs of housing availability PLEASE start a new thread perhaps in the Arms (DT) to do so. I apprieciate that the title of this thread doesnt specify SUPPORT for MOT but that is the true purpose of this thread
I now feel really guilty for posting links to this post on other threads within the forum as I feel alot of the naysayers were attracted by my posts. It has really backfired & I am deeply sorry to all those who no longer feel they can post & yet were the most supportive & MOT I apologise unreservedly to you too. Please believe I thought what I did might helpI THINK is a whole sentence, not a replacement for I KnowSupermarket Rebel No 19:T0 -

MOT,
I know the stress must be unbearable, but please try to take a little time out to recharge your batteries when you can. Your headache is your body's way of making you slow down...listen to it. There isn't much you can practically do tonight, so make sure you rest
In a few weeks (or maybe sooner) you will be starting a whole new chapter in your life, and all this will seem like a distant nightmare. It's not going to last forever, so just hang in there.0 -

I AGREE, PLEASE LETS KEEP TO THE JOB AT HAND, THIS THREAD IS TURNING INTO A SLANGING MATCH AND I FOR ONE FEEL IT IS STARTING TO LOSE ITS PRODUCTIVITY AND TURN SUPPORT FOR MOT OFF. THIS IS THE DEBT FREE BOARD, IT'S NO ABOUT POLITICS, RACE, COLOUR, ETHNIC BACKGROUND, IT'S SIMPLY ABOUT BEING SKINT AND HOW WE CAN ALL HELP EACH OTHER, LETS NOT MAKE IT PERSONALBusy mum of 3, so if my posts don't make sense or ask a silly question be patient:rotfl:0 -

Thank you for your concerns, I am not coping too well - when I have company I feel better and more able to do things but when I am alone although I make phone calls for properties etc each rejection, offhand remark or seemingly lack of urgency to help leaves me feeling so frustrated. I know that I am feeling very sensitive at the moment and am perhaps overreactingbut it feels like I am at the bottom of a very deep dark hole with no ladder to climb out of it. The twins, however, are still absolutely bloomin' amazing - they chatter away about their day at school, are involved in a couple of after school clubs which they enjoy and whilst they ask how my day has been they are very good if I am feeling down, they have become much more helpful and I do feel that this has been a 'good' learning curve for them - hopefully they will never take anything for granted again! Their school are aware of the situation and both classes were spoken to about our situation and it was explained that we are having a difficult time. The Headmaster and the class teachers are all very approachable and I can talk to them at any time. None of this has affected the childrens ability at school either which I am delighted about.

MoT, so that we can help spread the net in search of landlords, could you post the areas that you would consider for a suitable house.
I'm guessing Hemel Hempstead is ideal, but would Tring or Berkhamstead be acceptable?
Would you look further afield?
