I posted the initial letter asking for my accounts on 12/07/07. I still havent recieved anything and they havent cashed my cheque either. Do they normally cash them, or sendt hem back? Im sure I read at the start of the thread that a guy got the £10 back. Does anyone know how long this usually takes? I didnt realize at the time that I could go that far back into my accounts online (Id tried before and it wouldnt work). Now I know it works Id rather do it that way but since Ive already written to them I guess I should wait for the statements. What do you guys think? I really cant wait to get my money back, hopefully it'll happen for me since I have a young family :)

Up to you, but if I were you, I'd be using Online Banking pronto! It's instant! Plus banks keep you waiting on purpose! You could do all this today and have your letter sent off to them Monday! Then sooner you can have your dosh!

    Hiya

I originally requested statements then relised i to could get them online for last six years, (only hsbc and one other bank will let you go back this far online) so even though i had written to them i found it quicker than waiting 40 days for them to send them to me. Seeing as you have only just wrote to them you will save yourself weeks.:T

Have a read back through this forum and you can then see what the next stage is after you have sent of your letter,

    Go for it

ive been through the whole thing and im owed over £900 (without interest). i think ill try and claim with interest though so that when they refuse to pay the interest (which makes it around £1200) ill accept £900 LOL. Hopefully it'll make me look nice and they'll be more helpfull ha ha

As I mentioned yesterday, HSBC asked me to return my switch card, and were offering me a managed loan, which I did not accept, as my court date is on the 2n August.

They have continued to apply charges to my account since I made my claim, and it has been a vicious cycle, as I go overdrawn with the charges.

I got home this afternoon and the letter from D and G solicitors had arrived.;) ;)

I am not clear with the jargon, could someone out there please clarify for me

"I accept the sum in full and final settlement of my claim against HSBC for the charges applied to my account in the period Oct to Jan. I agree not to make any other claims relating to charges for the period stipulated above. I also agree to keep the fact of my cliam and the ex gratia payment made my Hsbc strictly confidential."

1.HSBC continued to charge me after January, so this does not mean I cannot make a second claim, right?

2.How long does it take for the money to hit your account, from when you sign the acceptance letter, and send it to D and G solicitors?

    3. Has anyone made a second claim on the same account yet, and if so was your account closed?
  • Hey all, was claiming £3050, got an offer of £2750!
    Chuffed to bits!
They recieved the acceptance form on the 12th!
I'm hoping for the cash some time next week, but have been refused a new cheque book!

Does this mean they are closing the account?
    Also taken debit card!

    What do you reckon?
