Snowy owl ...you could get a dupe made(duplicate made from the print) or scan it at high resolution if you really cant find the neg.

Hi Culpepper...I might just have to do that, I'll have a chat with someone at the club to find out if the resulting quality would be OK and if he can have it done for me. The final print will be a lot bigger than A4, at least twice the size, or even bigger - the club is looking for a particular size for all the prints for the exhibition (bit of a faff but I want it on public display) - then it has to be mounted a certain way...faff faff faff....

Hope your other half is OK in London tonight and every night.

Snowy Owl if you are into digital photography, Photobox have a professional gallery which is free for you to set up, and you can charge what you like for your photos. I use them to display my pictures so nobody can steal them. I don't think anyone would want to buy mine. :o

If you fancy selling them to Americans there is a great site called Cafe Press which sells t shirts and posters. They do a lot of merchandise for small websites like the We Are Not Afraid website. I have just reached $100 in my account and should be getting a "check" soon. (You can choose the amount where they send you the cheque.) If you are interested in Cafe Press there is a link to it here With and without a referral link.

I'm off to the Next Sale too!
  • Katgoddess - this is SO interesting!

Our 18 yo DD is mad on photography (wants to do it at Uni after her art foundation year) She has lots of photos that, to me, look wonderful.
Would you mind giving me a few pointers as to what kind of photo is in demand? is it cute kiddies and pets for example, so far she has more landscapes in her portfolio than anything else is there any call for these?

    Morning :T

Good to have the OH back this weekend what with happened on thursday and what not!

We had a right nice night lastnight and had a meal in "old orleans" but i had a bogof main course voucher so twas ok.... but we deserve a nice treat after the week we had. We also rented, "creep" what an excellent scary film. i recomment everyone going to rent it. ill not spoil the suprise

Today we are off to Alnwick gardens and castle. It is quite expensive to get in and what not but we're taking a packed lunch (all be it from greggs but my OH whined until i said he could have greggs for dinner  ) but i imagine we will spend all day in the place so we wont be tempted to spend all our pennies on

Done washing, some dishes, and buried out poor hamster, sidney. He was the size of a small jackrussel like. RIP dude :A

    Morning ancasta (and Paul)

Seems like everyone is either lazing in bed or at the Next sales :D Sorry to hear about Sidney, had you had him a long time? I never had hamsters, was more of a Gerbil girl myself (as a child)

Not been very pro-active yet. Despite being woken up too early by DS1 (so what's new?) all I've managed to do is give the boys their brekkie then go back to bed with a :coffee: and watch the news, before spending half an hour playfighting with DS2 (much better for you than cleaning, which will always be there)

I started at 9pm last night and cleaned out some of my kitchen cupboards. I really will have to do a store cupboard challenge :D May finish the cupboards off later, but then again, I have enough else to do and I'm sure my friend is ging to spring her 'unexpected' visit on me tonight (any excuse for a vino and a natter :))

OK, off for my shower, then washing to hang out, kids bedrooms to clean and windows to wash (for starters) Hope you have a lovely day, one and all (esp you ancasta) :D

    Morning all :hello:

Well, I'm at my parents again. Think OH is getting a bit fed up of me escaping up here. Need to see my gran though (who lives just down the road from my parnets) - apparently she told my dad yesterday that she's "dying slowly". Now, she's always been known to be melodramatic and really lays it on thick with my dad (her only child), but she has had a mild stroke, gets confused very easily and recently fallen. She still lives in her own house, but it's only a matter of time................ I know these things happen all the time, but it's not nice to see someone go down hill so quickly. My other gran, when she died, went really quickly and was active and "with it" until the end. I just want to go like that.

Anyway, on another positive note :o I didn't get that job yesterday. Apparently I was so very very close and I couldn't have done any better. However, they didn't think I'd fit in with the team. Although I'm gutted that I didn't get the job, I'm quite relieved as it was a bit of a tough school. So, it's back to the drawing board! :)

As for the rest of the day - my friend is picking me up in her new sports car and driving us to catch up over lunch. I'm hoping for a cheap lunch for my half, but she's a fully qualified solicitor and so has a bit more cash to spend than an unemployed teacher.

I've got my current book to read too - I need to rush through it so that I can start on Harry Potter. As that is the case, I'd better go!

    See you later

Need to go pick some more raspberries and make some more jam.

Well best get on the house work won't do itself...........hmmmm wonder if i left it long enough would DH do it

    Bye for now
  • Sorry to hear about the job VickyA - the right one is out there for you I'm sure.

A very lazy start to the morning indeed. I have just put on my first wash load and lo and behold the grey clouds have started arriving. Supposed to be going to a BBQ later so it might be an indoor one if the rain starts!

Have no idea what this evening holds in store - have told OH it's his turn to come up with an idea as I always do the planning - you can almost see steam coming out of his ears as he tries to think of something.... I predict we will end up staying in and watching some blokey film but I'll withhold judgement till later....

Gdday Maties, :D Just kidding - we don't talk like that

It's been a lovely warm day here. I had the house to myself this morning so I did a bit of computer work and surfed this site. Did the usual chores we all do early on and after lunch (pizza leftovers) ;) I mowed the yard to work it off. Cooked tea & have just watched Dr Who.

Sorry to hear that you didn't get the job VickyA. Hopefully a better one will just be around the corner. It's not nice to see someone you love go down the hill hey. My mum is in the same boat.

Hope you all have a nice day, while I'm off zzzzzzz
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)
