Just TYPING that list would tire me out! Come to think of it - READING it did. I'm off for a :coffee: and a rest.

And read the smaller print in the prize holiday I won.

    Good Evening all,

I haven't really had much of an OS day. Had visitiors for most of the day (sister & her DH) and tonight I was extremely lazy and we bought pizza's.

I thoroughly enjoyed it as we haven't had takeouts for ages. I had thin, ham & pineapple on bbq sauce. Mmmmm my favourite. I still have a couple of pieces left so I wasn't that much of a piggy.

    Although that could change. :D
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)

    Morning or almost Afternoon:o....all!

Not had a chance to get online until now but got most things done, just the dusting left & a bit of tidying round, everyday biscuits chilling in the fridge.

Thankfully Spud, who has been laying on a nerve over my left leg for the last few days, has moved & I can walk again, instead of the odd shuffle I have been stuck with:D.

Had some very bad news yesterday afternoon, Hubby has been restructured out of a job:mad:. Fantastic timing & all that:mad:. There is one glimmer of light on the horizon, there is one internal post he can apply for which is at exactly the same salary as he is on now & he is VERY qualified for it (over-qualified in fact) it is only being advertsied internally for now so if there are no other applications he might be OK. Am trying to keep hubbys spirits up, he is very unhappy, at least it isn't anything personal as his entire team are in the same or worse positions:mad::confused:
Post Natal Depression is the worst part of giving birth:p

In England we have Mothering Sunday & Father Christmas, Mothers day & Santa Clause are American merchandising tricks:mad: Demonstrate pride in your heirtage by getting it right please people!

Squeaky: I never win any holidays . what's your secret?

Seen another job today which is even more so guess what i'm doing this weekend when OH is doing his wedding driving? Last of the cake put on OH's lunchbox today - he's got pastrami sarnies and I've got cheese. Did i mention I've lost another 2lbs? OS cooking/baking seems to be working for me!!! :D Yesterday I got a baking book for 50p from a charity shop and I'm going to have a go selling it on amazon as it's in really good nick (after I have copied out the ones i like!!). Had another go at OH last night to try and get him to fill in the job form for asda.....

This afternoon I will HAVE to sort out all the clean laundry which has been put on the spare bed - mainly because we can't find anything :D Then I am going to bake - a carrot cake for a start as I've already greased the tin and then was too tired the other day so it's been in the fridge since. will have to get some eggs off the market too. also giong to get the breadmaker out of hibernation and put it somewhere in the kitchen where we can USE IT!!!

And, ahem, <<drum role please>> I get paid on monday and still have £40 left!!! 40  actually i don't know whether i've been frugal or the money i got for private typing has made that much difference........ but still :j

Also have a look at the freezer/fridge/larder and we don't have to do an asda shop for the forseeable future as we need stuff that we can get locally off the market - so it's rice'n'peas for dinner tonight and then I will do chilli for tomorrow and the sausage and mash on sunday - i may switch those 'round especially if OH wants a full english one morning.....

right back to typing boring referral letters to the local hospital....... ;)
But I'm going to say this once, and once only, Gene. Stay out of Camberwick Green :D

Sheer b|oody minded persistence. It was one of those mail shot things where you have to pay £1.50 per minutes (like £10's worth!) to find out what prize you've won. Yeah right. There's always, in the very smallest of the small print and hidden away somewhere, where you can post to find out. Cost two stamps, one to post one for the SAE.

Then of course there's a time limit on applying for your gift with the code you get given.

Which never quite matches with the "Allow 28 days for postal delivery of your winner's code."

Naturally mine came outside the limit but I returned it anyway.

Then the offer dates are limited, the notice will be given as far in advance as possible but Might be only four days...

..all of which I could have done if my finances hadn't taken quite a beating lately.

    Ho hum :)

Hiya everyone and hello Sharon :D

Not too OS this morning - house full of kids so haven't attempted anything more than packing the DW and putting washing machine on. It's raining gently here - what Mr TM would call a 'soft' day.

Had to book mr TM's car in for a new exhaust. Found out that ABS is knackered and will cost £940 to replace  I don't think so somehow, so will have to persuade Mr TM that we can actually manage with 1 car, when he gets back from France. I've just worked out we've spent £1500 on repairs on it in 12 months, then there's tax, insurance and running costs etc.!! I refuse to spend another £1000 on a 9yo car (who said Honda's were reliable?) altho' we'll get the exhaust done. MOT runs out in November, so we'll flog it before then.

Have decided that as I'm in such a bad mood about the car and it's so miserable here and the kids are all moaning, that we'll go to the cinema this afternoon. I've never been with my boys, in fact I've only been once in about 4 years! So, that's my treat sorted. :) I will be taking HM popcorn, drinks and a choc bar each, so no need to waste pounds when we're there.

Off to make lunch soon - HM bread going down a treat - with b.beans and strangled eggs and someone may win the last piece of pizza in the fridge...... me I think.

Have a good day all :)

    TM

    Hi everyone,
Liilibet - Oh dear, you don't need news like that at the moment, but it looks like everything will be OK, fingers crossed!
Last day of school today - can't wait for the break in routine, but I will have to find another way of keeping fit without my four mile (in total) daily walks! Got my application form for the London Marathon today - I applied last year and didn't get in, not sure whether I will apply again for 2006.
Cleaned all the floors this morning, i've bought a new scrubbing brush to clean the kitchen floor rather than just the mop, and although I felt a bit like the maid in the 1920's house as a knelt on the floor, scrubbing away, I must say the reults are brilliant! I didn't know the floor could come so clean.
I have also made the minestrone soup in the slow cooker, using up all the old bits of veg from the bottom of the fridge. I think I will make some cheese and onion bread (using a packet mix!) to go with it.
I remember reading the other day about Rage in Eden's experience on the Credit Card bit of this board - I have had a similar response to my post! Maybe it was a bit vague but I didn't need to be told so in such direct terms! So much for "Be nice to all money savers"! At least we are all friendly here. I might become like Shelly on Corro and never leave the safety of the OS board again :p
I will make my BB eviction prediction early this week: Science, you must leave the Big Brother House.
    Have a good day.
