Enjoyed this weeks show, it was much more relaxed. I like the style. and was pleased that Martin mentioned the feedback and the powers that be had taken notice of it. Gradually putting mse names to faces after reading your posts.

Love the bit after the show.

    well done all

Thought the format was better this week, slower speaking, more controlled and much improved "meter". Thought it was great when martin mentioned he had listened to feedback and changed it (wish other shows/companies would listen to their viewers/consumers so much!).

Was looking forward to the os section with lilbet, but was sad to see it was not incorporated this week tho, which was a shame.

Loved the credit card fees section-despite doing my mortgage fees ages ago, i had never thought about the late payment fee, only ever missed a payment once, but still £30 is £30 as they say, better in my pocket than theirs!!!!!

Am hoping channel 5 sit up and take notice of martin, and make the show 1hour long......then all the bits can be slowed down and expanded more into a fab show.

  • hello - i've looked at the website before but never posted - last night's show has driven me back here. i almost posted last week after some of the negative criticism that i read but am pleased i left it a week.

i enjoyed last night's show. i wouldn't consider myself a "money saver" but the advice on credit card fees etc, which i found clearly explained etc, is something that i am planning to follow up.

i am pleased that the show seems to (now) be appealing to both common or garden members of the public like myself and some of the hardened moneysavers on the board.

i think martin spoke at a good pace last night and explained clearly the points he was trying to make. i think ruth is a great foil to him too and i appreciated the advice on spending clubcard points etc (i've not got one at the moment as i didn't really want tesco tracking my buying habits but may now get one in an effort to beat the system....)

i was slightly put off the optimax piece by martin and ruth seeming to take it in turns to pull funny faces at the camera but i guess that is nitpicking

the "whats in your wallet" segment is also compulsive viewing.

    good work all round

After criticising Ruth's clothes last week, I just wanted to say I thought she had it spot on this time. Her style this week was perfect for this type of show, she looked really lovely.

Glad that daft drainpipe was gone. :)

    Well done all.

    :money:

    Just wanted to say congratulations!!

Last night's show was fab - I posted last week with some (hopefully constructive) criticisms, as did lots of others, and thought this week's show was spot on!

Much more relaxed style, although Martin still manages to put his passion for money saving across!

Well done to all involved :T
  • If anyone is in London for the recording of Martin's show I can certainly recommend going to the filming of the Wright Stuff too, we had a great time this morning although Eric put me on the spot by asking if it was better than Martin's show yesterday.... different and both great was my reply :)
  • I was there yesterday...One of the best things about yesterday was meeting other mse forum users. Not only could you put faces to names (as some of you have commented on) but you could chat to them too!!!!

Unfortunately not as Martin isn't allowed to promote this site on the programme at all. :(

    ....
    Really?
How come the forum link on the 'itpaystowatch' site links to *this* forum then?
Is it just that he can't say the name on the telly? EDIT - Ok, watching the Q & A session on the site has answered that! Cheers, Martin :) He can't say the name on the actual programme, but it's ok on the Q & A. Just wondering then, why the iptw forum comes to this forum.
