I've watched the first half of the show and have to say - I've never known Martin talk so slowly (!) so he's obviously taken feedback on board! The only thing was that I was distracted by Martin's hairy chest escaping from his infamous shirt! :o

I loved the feature on credit card reclaiming. Well done to everybody who took part in today's show! Tine - you looked fantastic and came across really confidently! I'm very impressed.

What did everybody else think?

Edit: Just seen the whole show. Angelina - yet another natural in front of the camera! Well done! :) I've always wanted some chickens....hmm...

Lembit Opik came across well too - quite down to earth and I thought Ruth looked more comfortable and relaxed too and very very pretty!

All in all - an excellent show. Can't wait for next week's. (Was that Lillibet in the audience tonight?)

  • I think Martin and Ruth should keep to the pace they did tonight - does the show actually start at 7:30 or 7:25? I tuned in at (what I thought) was just before the start, but they'd already started!

gosh! Was that him slowing down?? People tell me I talk too fast but that was fast! worn me out just listening!

Thought it was a great show, loved it. Maybe needs a bit more visuals rather than so much talking ie - what about a Blue Peter type thermometer showing how much has already been claimed? I think a lot of people still think they couldn't do it - but if they knew how many already had they might think again!

it's fab, and it is so good to see forum members. Any way that we could get their screen names flashing up so we can put faces to names?

I sky plussed it and it had chopped off the very start! :( I'd just missed the opening credits by the looks of things luckily! :o

The OH and I were in the audience and we thought it was absolutely brilliant. They did the whole show almost in one take and just had to reshoot one small part again. The atmosphere was fantastic, everyone clapped like mad, Martin had taken on board what people have said last week (about speaking slower, and the meter thing which now records savings instead of losses), and I thought this week's show was much better than last week's. I am so glad I was there because not only did I get Martin's autograph and a picture, but I met some truly great people from the forum (you know who you are!) who I had much fun with, and we got 25% off and a complimentary drink in Cafe Rouge while waiting for the show to begin! Martin was relaxed and very friendly, and he even introduced us to his lovely fiancee Lara who was watching backstage.

Unfortunately not as Martin isn't allowed to promote this site on the programme at all. :(

What's going on with Martin's eyebrows though?! He was moving them around all the time, esp when Ruth was talking... I couldn't stop watching them :rotfl: :rotfl:
