Just came back from Malaga and they were charging about £18 so just goes to show how much it can differ at duty free!
I LOVE that product! If there is only one piece of make-up I was able to use, it would be that. Disguises many a late night and freshens the under-eye area. I have used it for over 2 years now. Wouldn't buy any other concealer, if you ask me, it's worth the extra cost. It usually costs me about £19 and one lasts about 6 months, so good value in my opinion.~What you send out comes back to thee thricefold!~~0 -
I can recommend witch hazel as a cleanser/toner for your face - I used to buy Clinique Clarifying Lotion and recently bought my boyfriend Clinique Scruffing Lotion for his birthday - what is the main ingredient?? - witch hazel!!!! So once his clinique is finished - back to the witch hazel!!
Also recommend Superdrug Vitamin E All Over Body Cream - huge tub for around £2 - and there are often offers on (eg buy two for £3) The fragrance is light (i hate heavily perfumed lotions) and I use it every day. Previously I was using E45 Body Lotion - but at around £4 for a bottle I decided to switch. Now been using the Superdrug cream for years - and don't know what I'd do without it. I also like the other products from the Superdrug Vitamin E skincare range. So cheap that if you don't like them - well it's not a waste.
I suggest getting hold of a Sally card (trade beauty supplier) or finding a friend with one! I buy the GIANT shampoo and decant it into a small bottle - it lasts for ages and is very good. (around £3.50 and regularly on offer) You can shop in Sally as a member of the public, but with a trade card you get a good discount. Also good deals on hair dryers, straighteners etc, OPI nail varnish.
Also agree with previous post about using dry body brush for cellulite 'cure' - really makes a big difference and works out much cheaper in long run. (and no - I'm not providing evidence that I have no cellulite....)
that's all i can think of just now - my fave beauty tip - is to smile!

witch hazel is fantastic stuff. I use the witch hazel stick you can buy after waxing as it's brilliant ast preventing in growing hairs.0

I am surprised with all the Tesco shoppers no one has mentioned this one! The Face Lift moisturiser/illuminator is the best I have ever used, under foundtaion or on its own it is divine. Our local shop is always selling out of it so I tend to buy 2 when I see them. There is also an eye gel pen that is lovely - I don't think anything in the range is over £6 and it is excellent stuff.
And I second the aqueous cream as a super moisturiser - I buy the 500 m pots for about £2.50....for some reason it is only available by asking the at the pharmacy at our local Boots....
Love this thread.....thanks for all the great web sites :O)The smallest deed is greater than the grandest intention ~ Anonymous0 -
I forgot to add the best ever lip gloss - Vaseline! The little travel size pot at 99p is a blessing and should be (IMHO!) in every make up bag.....good for lip gloss, glossing over your own lippie, a wee bit to tidy eyebrows, dry skin, exzema, rashes and about anything else you can think of :O)The smallest deed is greater than the grandest intention ~ Anonymous0

Just thought of another money saver. For cheap, moisturising hand wash, put into empty handwash bottle - aqueous cream, some aloe vera gel and some water. Shake it around and you have nice creamy handwash! Works really well!

recent posts have reminded me of an eye make up remover I used to make many years ago that was very soothing.............mix witch hazel and rosewater together both available very cheap from any pharmacy..............got the idea from a Vichy make up remover that was mainly made from those two ingredients0
