Thank you, jomist, I've been looking for a good supplier of BE since Dermstore.com were banned from selling to Europe (I think QVC put their gigantic foot down!). American eBay is another source, with the usual caveats.

  • I agree with everything re Liz Earle products..........if they are suitable for use on babies they must be good..........I buy direct from her web site which is excellent by the way.........I usually receive a free sample of something with my order.........she also has a shop on the Isle of Wight..............she calls her company Union...........must admit not been on the site for a while but it is worth a look

I have used Anusol Ointment under my eyes for some years, and it hasn't thinned the skin at all. I just pat it on lightly if I have temporary bags because of a late night etc. and also if I get a broken vein. I aslo use it on thread venins on my face and they go a lot quicker than they would if left alone. But perhaps it wouldn't suit everyone. Actors have used it for years.

Today I bought Nivea after sun tan prolonger cream on the advice of another shopper in Tesco who was also looking for the new Johnsons moisturiser with self tan which wasn't in stock.

I have only used a self-tan product once before with disasterous results - Alison in the Salon managed to sell me Ecotan and it was terrible!

After using the Nivea cream on my previously permanantly lily white legs, I now have bronzed legs after two applications. No patchy bits and it looks really natural.

I might be brave tomorrow and try it on my face.

Great value at under £5.00 for 150ml and should last ages.

Johnson's Holiday Skin is the product you are talking about and it is fantastic! I bought 2 bottles in my local Tesco about 2 weeks ago and they were £4.45 each for 250ml. I had never used the product before, and hoped it would be as good as the advertising. I am very pale and previously always used self-tan. ( I also didn't like Ecotan from QVC) The stuff I used to use cost £11.98 a bottle and I would go through one a month. I tried this 'Holiday Skin' for normal/pale skins and it is marvellous! I have a lovely glowing gentle tan, no streaks, its also a glorious moisturiser. You should try it. Boots stock it also though Tesco sell it cheaper!

The link you posted actually brings up your e-mail to send an e-mail to a yahoo account rather than the website. Was that an error or are you wanting people to e-mail you regarding the site?

I'll keep an eye out for the Johnsons and try that next. Have you tried the Johnsons cream on your face? Bit nervous about trying it

No, I haven't used it on my face and wouldn't. Its a body moisturiser and self-tan combines and not designed to use on face. Please don't consider using on your face, its not designed for that and could bring on rashes and blemishes. If you want a tan on your face you are best buying a self-tan product specially designed for facial use...Piz Buin do one.

If you're lucky enough to go to Cyprus on your holidays, make sure you keep your eye out for this indespensible piece of makeup kit... i went a year ago and managed to pick one up for £12! Just came back from Malaga and they were charging about £18 so just goes to show how much it can differ at duty free!
