OMG, is it that early this year! Thankfully due to this website I've been buying early bits & bobs in the sales as March/April is a busy time for us celebration wise, what with Mothers day, Easter, our LO's first b'day, our niece is due to be born around that time & 4 other close family b'days.
For my mom & Mil I will make a card for each of them, I think if I bought them one they'd be insulted now, lol, my handmade ones have so much thought put in them.
I've been buying boots own face products (Timeless?) when I've got the £5 vouchers for them so I'll put these in a nicely covered box, on a bed of shredded paper (great way to recycle wrapping paper & colourful junkmail, put through the shredder) & these will go to my mom who loves her beauty products.
For my MIL I'm contemplating asking her to photograph a family portrait for me as she takes very professional looking photos, I can then print one out for her & have it framed, or maybe have it printed on canvas for her.You cant take a step forward with both feet on the ground0 -
Well I am attempting my first hamper for Mothers day, bought all the stuff for it and themed it in lilac total cost about £8 because I found a basket at home, ordered my cellophane and pull bows today too as I am intending to make up hampers all year for different occasions
Quite excited really!

Not completely sure of what we're getting mum, mil and my nan but rough ideas are:
Nan: mini soaps, (got already) and i want to get her a tea and biscuits set in the boots sale, hope there's some left!
Mil: probably a mothers day ornament, (loves ornaments!!) flowers, choc ...
mum: i want to make her a toiletry hamper, she only uses basic things like shower gel, soap, shampoo, conditioner and moisturiser. (no bath salts, fizzers, body lotion etc!) and i think she'd like something useful! boots are doing shower gel for 29p at the mo so planning on getting those x 10, simple moisturiser x 1, shampoo and conditioner x 5, soap x 4. then flowers and choc:j
also a nice pic of lo for them all:D'They only had one cow!'0 -
thanks, dawnylou!
great ideas
