Toluna Discussion (merged)

In view of the feedback I see on here I decided to give Toluna another chance.
I just completed the following Survey:
Survey ID: 1097773
Number of points: 4000 points
Survey closing date: 21.07.2010 (or as soon as we have the number of respondents that we are looking for)
Length of the survey: 20 minutes
I am very dissatisfied with the results and have sent them an email.
This is the second time I have emailed them and the first one was ignored by them so I dont hold much hope this time.
Here is what I wrote
"I have just completed a 20 minute survey and at the end it says "The survey hasn't been started yet. Please try again later"
Just to check if my participation was registered I tried to start it again and got the message "Thank you for your interest in this study, but it seems that you have already taken part."
I have since been to my account to check my points and the 4000 points I should have got were not awarded.
This is not the first time this has happened.
I have written to you before but you ignored it.
Please respond this time"
Thats 4000 points this time not tio mention the numerous times its happened before
It seems that the only points I can be sure of are the quick surveys on their website
I still need a lot of convincing that Toluna isn't a load of rubbish and a complete waste of time
I cant believe that I am the only one wit this problemIWasLookingBackToSeeIfSheWasLookinBackToSeeIfIWasLookinBackAtHer.....0 -
I get points deducted and do not know why as i cannot spend them as you need 80,000 for a £5 voucher rediculous0

Nope your not , just using the filter and label fuctions on gmail you can set it up to highlight toluna surveys, then you can relabel it every time you complete a survey, even mail them direct with survey info to say what problem you had. then when you get the points in your account you copy and paste the survey code from the points list to the search bar in gmail and it finds your survey email where you change from completed to paid.
Then every so oftern usually when I get close to 80000 points you can click in gmail to select only the completed mails you havnt been paid for, and email them a long list. If they ignore it just send it again. They do get back to you in the end.Survey earnings total 2009 £417, 2010 £875, 2011 £5740 -
Exactly - you need to keep track adn to pester them. Normally I loathe them but they're easy for me to do while I'm at work and there's always a survey to answer.
I have to say, they've gone completely bonkers. Every tme I log in they've credited me with a few thousand more points, all compensation for surveys that I didn't even take! I'm assuming it's a glitch and will stop soon, but will keep asking for vouchers while it goes on! I've now ordered two vouchers since June 21, and I'm halfway to another one!0 -

Same here. I've been getting extra points almost daily for weeks. They told me first that it was an error and I could keep the points, they've now told me that they are 'missing points' that I asked them for (they're not as I keep track of what I'm missing and I currently have 0 outstanding surveys). I've spent the points and kept the emails from them just in case they try to take the points back off me at any time. If they've told me I can have them they're not going back on it!0 -
I really dislike this website, yes I have had numerous surveys but most of them I've been too late to complete (apparently they get enough people within the next 30minutes they email people the survey?!) And so I realised it would take me years to get enough for a voucher, and so I tried to unsubscribe via their emails, and the link just took me to the homepage, so I tried to log in and delete my account.. and apparently I've now forgotten my password which can't be right. So I got them to send me a forgotten password email and I keep on trying but they never send me one, and I'm still getting numerous surveys everyday! This WILL be mine in 2010 (hopefully!)
Ipod Touch, Cash, Digital Camera, Vouchers
2010 wins so far: McCains chip vouchers! (the comping fairy paid a visit!)

When did you try to do that, last night toluna was having a funny turn, not being able to show points etc.Survey earnings total 2009 £417, 2010 £875, 2011 £5740

God, I'm glad it's not just me. I'm doing the same thing! THey made a mistake a year or so ago (of about 30,000 points instaed of 3000), which they found six months later and took all the points off me in one go, which was gutting. I wonder if there's some disgruntled Toluna employee who's just giving out points madly to get back at the companY? Seriously, some of these 'compensations' are for surveys that I don't even have in my bin, let alone inbox!0 -
