  • I worked hard to get enough for one voucher, once it's here I'm off. There are other places that pay immediately, even by post. I'll be going there.

Like I always say with Toluna, I don't think it's entirely incompetence, I think it's part of their cynical business strategy. The longer they can put off paying us, the longer they can hold on to their money. As we all know, there is nothing time-consuiming about ordering an email voucher, so that's the only conclusion I can draw.

If they were that incompetent in all areas of their business they would have folded by now.

I asked why it took them so long to order an Amazon voucher when I could do it in seconds and I was told they bulk order them (presumably they wait until they have about 10,000 orders before they order them judging by the length of time it takes)
  • Also just realised that the total needed for a HMV voucher has gone up from 60,000 to 80,000. Well gutted as I'd just got to 60,000. Would be at much more but they owe me thousands of points for surveys that I've completed and when I queried when I'd get them I was given the usual nonsense answer about "waiting for surveys to be completed". They must be one of the worst survey sites I've come across. Seriously considering packing them in when I've cashed in the points - say around 2011 at this rate!

Thought I'd have a quick look on this thread to see if Toluna have improved over the last year ... I guess not! I'm glad I left them when I did (about a year ago). They've always been bad. Personally, I've had more success with Valued Opinions and Lightspeed recently but I know that others have not. It certainly seems that Toluna are universally dreadful.

Regarding delayed vouchers, Tonuna's (generic) response to my email.

Since we order large batches of vouchers at the same time, it normally takes up to eight weeks from when you order the voucher until you receive it. We understand that some of these vouchers are beyond the 8 weeks as promised but we are working hard to catch up with the delays.

Here is an update on all our main vouchers:

We have now sent all Amazon vouchers up to the 30th September.
We have now sent all Love 2 Shop vouchers up to the 30th september.
We have now sent all Halfords vouchers up to the 31st of October.
We have now sent all HMV vouchers up to the 15th October.
We have now sent all Debenhams vouchers up to the 21st of September.
We have now sent all CDwow vouchers up to the 15th October.

Unfortunately we still are experiencing some delays with the vouchers, in which we send our apologies. We are working very hard to sort out these matters and send the vouchers to our members. We understand this is very frustrating and we hope to get your voucher to you as soon as possible. We do realise that delivery times for some of these vouchers is now beyond the 8 weeks as promised. We understand our members work very hard to earn their points and we are working very hard to catch up with the delays. We have no specific delivery dates however as soon as we receive the vouchers they are sent immediately.

If this was the first time that vouchers had been delayed, I might believe their email. As the vouchers are always 'delayed', I'm not quite as naive.
  • I've just won £75 in the monthly prize draw, which is nice. Does anyone know how long it will take for this prize to arrive?

Are you sure you won from toluna??? Just ask cause I never heard of anyone win anything from Toluna other than the peeps that post in the site itself

Also did you buy the 1500 pont tickets ? If so how many?
    Survey earnings total 2009 £417, 2010 £875, 2011 £574
  • I was entered automatically after being screened out of some surveys. I was informed via email by the Toluna team, so I am defo' a winner!

  • I know a lot of people complain about Toluna - I once mentioned in a topic on the Toluna site about the delays paying vouchers and found that I got a lot of responses, right up until my message was deleted - but I still earn a fair few vouchers from them. Essentially, I reply to emailed surveys but answer in ways that get me discounted at an early point; I figure it's a good idea to seem interested. Then I go to the Toluna website and answer the sponsored mini-surveys. I find that I can click through them in a matter of minutes, and I average an Amazon voucher every couple of months. A couple of minutes clicking per day for free books every couple of months? I'm up for that. :D
  • My apologies for being a pain, but......

I have just joined toluna, and looking at the vouchers i would choose £15 love to shop for 80,000

    Question is:

How much are the points worth if converted to money?

By my workings a mini poll for 15 points = 3p

I'm not great on my maths so if somebody could help
I get what i want. That isn't because i'm a brat or spoilt. It's because i'm determined, i work hard for it and i achieve my goals!
