Toluna Discussion (merged)

I'm really struggling to build up points with Toluna. I do the short/quick surveys for a few points. But the big surveys that I get offered always end up rejecting me as unsuitable (I suppose I could lie about my age/gender/employment stituation/family size....but that defeats the object of the surveys!) Also, I have twice started a survey, answered the personal questions, been given some product related questions which I have answered, and then after about 5 minutes of the survey I am rejected....so I've given my opinions and details of shopping habits, and then I still get a message saying I don't qualify for that particular survey and I won't get any points!
I do surveys for a different site and have just ordered my fifth Amazon voucher - the points accrue much more quickly.
Toluna seems more trouble than it's worth.0 -
It can be. I always check very carefully how many points are on offer and how long the survey will be. If it's something naff like 2,000 points for a 20 minute survey I bin them. If a £10 voucher costs 60,000 points then that's about 30p for 20 minutes' work, isn't it? BOG OFF TOLUNA!0

Hurray!!! I've finally got my Amazon voucher (ordered 25th July) I'm so excited that I felt I had to post for the first time!! (Only snag is I've now got to wait for the other 2 that have built up since July-might be here in time for Christmas I guess).0

I'm in London too, the post situation is ridiculous! I get nothing for days and then a load comes at once.
There are two sets of two bottles, and you have to use them in a specific order. I've only used one so far and I don't think it's pantene, unless they've changed the scent. My friend had a sniff and thinks it might be Dove...either way, it actually makes my hair feel really nice.
I'm in London- just had my bills come in- and last months bills too- the postal strike is a joke! Am so lucky its all direct debit or I'd have late charges comming out of my ears! Does anyone know whats going on/when are strike days?
With Toluna, has anyone worked out if some vouchers take longer then others? I want to get mine transfered to paper lovetoshop vouchers for the january sales (mid jan when the 70% stuff starts) but not sure weather to bother- I have 2000 points to go till I get enough for 2 vouchers- was hoping 3.5 months was enough, now looking unlikely as todays London Lite advises to post all Christmas cards soon to get them to arrive by Christmas!0 -
I am very picky with my Toluna surveys and only enter ones with high points value and minimum time. However, I have recently noticed they're being very sneaky and say a survey will take, say, 15 minutes, and once you've clicked through, it says 25 mins. That's just not on!
Quite agree - although they all seem to do that now I've noticed.

Well said that girl! I recently received a survey from Toluna inviting me to what they said was a 55 minute survey for 6,400 points. Translated, that would have meant at least another 15 minutes on top of that, so I didn't bother with it. Today I got the same survey from them again (unheard of!) saying 'This was my last chance etc. etc...'. Obviously a lot of folk felt the same as me and didn't bother with it, so they didn't get enough mugs for that one-hence the need to send it out again! :rotfl:

Has anyone who got the shampoo bottles done the survey that goes with it? Really really bizarre. You get a load of terms like 'confident' and 'trustworthy' and you have to choose which one you felt applied least and applied most to the shampoo. Hello??! It's a shampoo! Get over yourselves. Really can't imagine what they think they're going to learn from that. OK, if the terms were 'smells floral' or 'has a nice thick texture', fine. But really, I'm not sure what a confident shampoo would look like...0

If I was a shampoo I wouldnt be very optamistic or confident, as I would know I was going to be put into someone dirty hair then washed down the drain.Survey earnings total 2009 £417, 2010 £875, 2011 £5740

Has anyone had a reply to there messages they have sent regarding missing points?
I have emailed a month ago and nothing depsite sending them two reminders asking for an update, beginning to wonder if they are ignoring me now!0 -
No, no reply to mine either. Did get credited this morning with 11,000 or so from a diary survey from July though so they're clearly not completely asleep.0
