I cooked the pizza using the convection oven, preheating it to 180 first. Pizza box said 10-12 mins and it was plenty cooked in 8. It was great! I'm not using the stand in the oven when on microwave, it says in the manual not to, there's a little table on page 6 saying not to use metal tray for microwave or combination cooking.
Link for book (it's £5.24, the other combi oven book is rated at a bit pants so I didn't bother getting them both):

Using microwave tonight to cook curry, I've never cooked so much pre-prepared food! I was hoping to roast a chicken in it tomorrow, but I'm going to wait until the book arrives so I can work out timing accurately, as it has conversion times as well as recipes in it. This is where it gets confusing. On page 6 it tells you the part names. It refers to the item number 9 as the Metal Rack.
On the table it talks about a metal tray. Who is to say that it's the same item? Other combi microwaves advocate using the rack during combi cooking.
I am struggling to grasp how I can use the combi grill.microwave feature if the food is sitting on the bottom of the oven?
It's all so confusing!!!!

I can see what you mean there! I shall have to try it without the metal rack to give a proper answer and let you know how the cooking goes."A cat can have kittens in the oven, but that don't make them biscuits." - Mary Cooper

I did try using the rack in the combi grill/microwave to do some sausages and nothing bad happened. I was brave!

Lol, I've got some 'brave boy' stickers somewhere from my son - I'll send you one if you like(actually, you're braver than me, but I did destroy a microwave and a large area of worksurface once hence my reticence!).

Can anyone tell me the maximum temperature you can get on convection. bought one cheaply 18 months ago but can only reach 180 degrees. useless for cooking many pre-prepared meals.0

this one goes to 200 degrees, but allowing that you may reduce the temperature by 25-50 degrees C when using a convection oven then this is actually up to 250 degrees equivalent on a normal ovenEx forum ambassador
