Aldi one looks good but has anyone bought the ONN branded from Asda, looks good and only £57.**

I wouldn't touch the ONN one from Asda...I've had two of them...the first stopped working after 13 months of owning it (Asda gave me a refund to gift card). I then bought another one, which didn't even last 6 months.

I purchased this combi micro at this time last year when I got a new kitchen also at this price. I have had no problems with it and it also has a 3 year warranty (as with a lot of Aldi electrical goods)

A bit of advice for anyone who wants to use a combi properly as an oven, get one with proper shelves in... a lot of these combis only have 2 circular stands, which is great for pizzas and ready meals, but you can't really use trays etc. in it.

Just something to bear in mind...

Hi everyone,

I bought one too. I am struggling a little as there is no recipe instructions at all. I feel as though I know how it works, but don't really know what to do with it. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I mean, I know what to do with a normal microwave, but this oven and grill thing is brand new to me. It's all all a bit daunting really.

the convector bit is the same as a normal oven, if you look in the book there is a preheat function to get it to say 180c, then if the pack says 20 minutes at 180c then just set the timer for 20 minutes

the metal grill bit allows hot air to circulate round the whole item while its cooking, ie a jacket potato crisped all round

I would microwave a spud first to cook through, then set it to go to convector to crisp, it says in the book you can combine these functions

I'm assuming the grill function is watch it brown like a normal grill

just playing with the thing now
