If your friend wants to get a dog, will she not think of fostering Sasha? Then at least you'd have piece of mind that she is being looked after well, and could visit her.

I had thought of that raphael which is why I had asked my friend to keep her, but judging by my reaction yesterday. ... I cried literally ALL DAY, I just can't bear to part with her. What I needed was a bit of space away from her to decide what action I needed to take. Thank goodness there's such lovely people on this and other forums who gave me wonderful advice.

I know I would do the same if I had to give up my Shadow. I rent at the moment, and my landlord has let me have her (he's a great LL) but cos it's not my house I worry about what happens if I have to move out & can't find somewhere where I can have her with me.

Forums like this are good because you can get an objective view, cos your emotions will decide in the end! ;) Sometimes you need someone else's unbias thoughts.

missyg are you sure your BMI, height/weight ratio/body fat all that is within the recommended amount? :D Less than 8 stone seems very tiny to me or is it me just being pure jealous?:rotfl: :rotfl: :D

Everything's in order Victory! :D I am only 5 feet 3 inches and according to most BMI charts I should be between 8 and 10 stone (though some have this extra light yellow band which says 7.5 - 8 stone is OK too  ) So I may have been underweight for a short while earlier but the pasta has sorted that out :rotfl:

Body fat according to my scales is right on the border of underfat and healthy BUT I am not skinny, I have decent muscle from all the exercise and I feel great!

I know there are a few here who have worried about whether I am eating enough etc, and it feels lovely to be cared about like that :D I promise I'm a sensible person though, even if I get in a tizz occasionally!

I'm fine with a 3lb leeway each way as I maintain. Over the next few weeks I'll hopefully find where my maintain calorie average is, and then when I am used to what that amount of food is, I'm going to stop counting. I'll continue to weigh each week and if it looks like it's creeping up, I'll cut back for a week and/or exercise more. Sounds simple and it probably isn't, but that's my plan!
  • Glad you've sorted things out Delly, hope it all works out for you.

    Well done, you losers!

Victory, I still think you are an inspiration, just look how well you've done and in such a short time.

    Gotta go, take care all

Looking at this you have a lack of protein in you diet, so you need meat/fish/eggs or a vegetarian substitute like quorn.

Lack of calcium as well looking at it, you need to aim to get about 1/2pt semi skimmed milk in your diet per day or a fortified soya / rice milk substitute.

    plenty of water is good,

dpeends on what you have on your toast - low sugar jam no butter or some natural honey no butter. I can't give you any indication as to whether 4 slices is too much as I have no idea whether you are male or female and how much weight you feel you have to lose.

    Hope that helps a bit

Try https://www.foodfocus.co.uk (sorry I don't know how to do links) and you can see how much protein etc you are eating.

(oh it just does the link on its own ... how clever is that!)
