Hello everyone
Delly :grouphug: ....., our dog gets mucky in the wet ground too, well, all dogs do I guess. Is it REALLY that much hassle to towel them down though? It takes me a minute a time, and Bailey loves it, he sits there for his pampering rubdown and pawclean. I know our house would be a far worse place if it wasn't for the dog, and I don't look upon his walks as a chore, they are to be enjoyed. Since MrsA broke her leg, she's obviously not been able to walk him - I get up at quarter to six, take the dog out, do my breakfast and his, drive to work to arrive for seven, do a 12 hour shift at work, and still have to come home to cooking for us and dog walking. If I can do that I'm sure your OH could do more. I'd hate to see you lose your hound, she's so cute.
Bluecorn, everyone gets fair input here and no posts are missed on purpose. Try not to feel bad about it.
KPC, if you think there's no blue food, you should watch Bridget Jones' Diary againprob taking it out of context just a bit surprised , don't want to make it into a big issue with him, maybe they are just from xmas, never found stuff like that before .....
......unless he has weight issues victory, I wouldn't get concerned just yet. It maybe that he's selling them at school - the son of a friend did exactly the same thing with Haribos, but had to get his parents on board to take him to the warehouse as demand began to outstrip supply, and they were obviously cheaper there too.0 -
Hello hello everyone!!! Ooh lots of messages since I was last on, that's what I like to see
Firstly Poohbear, hope you had a great birthday evening!
Bluecorn, ouch sorry about your injury that must have been nasty. How long ago was that? Oh, and Thomas is one of my favourite boys names
Vix, glad you had a good weekend, must have been great to relax after your exams.
Delly, I hope everything works out OK with the dog, it's causing you so much upset so something needs to be done soonI rehomed my cat when my son was a baby as he showed signs of asthma and one of the pieces of advice was to have a pet-free home. (I'd only ended up with a cat in the first place because the owners in my street had moved away and abandoned her!) Anyway, cat is doing fine in her loving home 9 years on and son is asthma-free. Sometimes it's just the best thing all round, you have to put your son first and your son's well-being also depends on your well-being! I just hate to think of you so upset, I really hope things feel better today for you.
Bails, I had a good meal thank you, it wasn't anything major but it was just nice to have someone else cook it! Hehe! I'm going to update my money saving stats today - I've averaged last year's spending per week by dividing the annual spend by 52, and I'll measure this year's spending against that every Monday! Think that's a fairer way of doing it for me. So, do you feel rejuvenated today? Hope so
Still catching up... back in a bit...0 -
Thanks for all your support guys. I had decided this morning to bring her back home again but with a few changes - firstly, I'm going to build a pen in the back garden for her when she's outside during the day and secondly, I'm going to crate train her so that she automatically goes into her "bed" when she's eating but having read your posts, I'm beginning to wonder again if I've made the right decision or am I bringing her back because I'm upset and not because it's the best solution for her.
ajax the mud isn't usually from walking her, it's from the bog that my back garden has become this winter with all the rain. Sasha has really hairy paws and drags lots of mud in with her when I let her in when we're home. She's also completely ruined my back garden. As for my OH, there are certain things that you have to recognise and accept about people, and one thing is, my husband will NEVER walk the dog on a regular basis. That is always going to be something I have to do. He will feed her, play with her and clean up the pooh she leaves in the garden (after much nagging from me) but he'll never walk her.Goal for 09: Get fit and foxy. target weight 11st. 5/80.Get out of dead end job and work for career I always wanted.0 -
Raphael - :j well done on your 4lbs off this week.
bargain babe - I've been lucky not to have had too many dealings with insurance companies but my aunt's house was burned down last summer and she had a nightmare time with them trying to get somewhere to live and clothes etc. so you're not alone in the insurance company victim status ...Although I did find that the company who sold us our insurance policy never covered us for accidental damage, never went back to them and soon got it sorted out. . I'm glad to see you're taking positive steps towards dealing with your weight though. I hope things work out for you.Goal for 09: Get fit and foxy. target weight 11st. 5/80.Get out of dead end job and work for career I always wanted.0 -

.....but isn't it the walking that needs doing?0 -
bails the trust thing will never work for me, I am fed up with myself this evening as I have eaten my fair share, why? because I was bored and because I can, I have been SAS commando, navy seals good for what seems like forever and tonight decided to eat but oh boy there is eating and knowing when to stop:Dmy legs don't work for the sugar rush, have a dry mouth feel sick, ill self induced, thinkto yourself this happened last time, surely you knew what was going to happen if you pigged out, why do it to yourself? Why, why and thrice why and still I press the self destruct button, just because I can, madness, senseless, now it will take a few days to recover, get the numbers back on track, for what? Yes I wanted it but did not need that much ,even I know that but no one stopped me, I never stopped me, H only commented on the amount of bacon(gave it all to my son) even I cannot eat that much in a day, not for the want of trying though
victory - I'm very worried about you........I admire the way you've been so disciplined and lost the weight so well and maintained since you've reached your goal. I am concerned about your reaction to "pigging out"....I wonder if your Navy Seal attitude to your maintenance is the reason why you keep pressing the self destruct button? Do you think that perhaps, you're denying yourself the things you love too much and then the days you "pig out" are your body or mind's way of saying enough's enough? Maybe if you allow yourself a little treat every day it might be enough to stop the pig out days? Even weightwatchers allows you 14 points per week to spend on sugary food and alcohol.. that's 2 points per day, a small glass of wine, a treat sized crunchie or other treat sized bar. Maybe if you have the small bits of sugar your numbers won't sky rocket or crash and you won't feel so bad. ... I'm sorry if this seems obvious and I hope you're not offended. You've done so well and you're so supportive and don't judge anyone else on here - I just think that maybe you should give yourself a break......Goal for 09: Get fit and foxy. target weight 11st. 5/80.Get out of dead end job and work for career I always wanted.0 -
Debtdummy - congrats on the 1.5lb loss this week!
Hi LilacLillie, hope you're having a good week, haven't seen that advice about the blue plate before! I've seen the one about leaving some food on your plate, I really can't agree with that at all - what do you think about it? I just can't bear needless waste. So Jan 13th was the "cop out" date - perhaps we should do a head count on here
Granny, I'm with you about the pinkThank you for taking over the chart, I'd be scared of messing it up too but any little mistakes are easily fixable aren't they? It's my weigh in at midday so I guess I'll be among the first, hehe.
KPC - don't blue smarties occur naturally? Gutted!Hmm, hasn't your message about the nice big jugs brought Suggs and Ajax running back yet?
Hmm, Victory, sounds like your H likes you a bit rounder than you are now! Have you tried capturing your feelings in writing after you feel you've eaten too much? We do forget these things, and maybe you could read it through again next time you feel like having a little binge. Anyway, feel free to let off steam with us about it, that's what we're here for! As for DS and the sweet wrappers, kids are kids and they stash things, if it wasn't sweets it would probably be something else. I think you're right not to make an issue of it.
Bargain babe, I hope things progress quickly with your insurance. I had no idea we had to jump through such hoops when making a claim, I thought we'd just list what was missingLet us know how it goes.
Hi again Floozie, I like your workout plan of combining so many different things, you're certainly going to see the benefits all over! I need a new plan. Well, really I need the spring/summer to come so that my activity options open up a bit more. Tired of working out within the same four walls all the time.
Raphael just spotted your 4.2lb loss! Well, you're certainly a contender for slimmer of the week! That is a massive amount, well done.
HannaB, fab 2lb too and making the half stone already!
Hugs Delly - it's easy to see that you're totally torn about the situation, and nobody is in your shoes but you, so you have to do whatever you think is best
Morning Ajax, hope you had a good weekend. You sound like a complete STAR at home, it is nice to know there are guys around who do their fair share (and more while MrsA is laid up).0 -

Yes it is - but he won't do it. I've tried to get him to take her out more often before, but he won't It's just one of those things. To be honest, if he deals with DS, baths him and settles him into bed, I'm not too worried about it. ....just means that I bond more with the dog than my son...
I'm pretty sure when my Fil comes back from Austraila he'll help out with walking her when Oh is on night shifts and I'm fairly sure I have some ways now that I'll be able to manage the mess and her stealing food from DS. I just need to work out whether or not she's getting the attention from us that she deserves.Goal for 09: Get fit and foxy. target weight 11st. 5/80.Get out of dead end job and work for career I always wanted.0 -
Morning everyone! Hope youre all fine!
Victory: Perhaps your son was defensive juse because he got caught! I wouldnt worry unless it happens again.
Went over my boyfriends parents last night to get his christmas/21st birthday present from his brother that has been in iraq or afghani, one or tother. His mother then told him, "have you got anything for gandma pegs birthday tomorrow?" The answer was obviously no. She is such a devious sod, wouldnt think to tell us about it before! If we hadnt have just decided to go she would probably have never said anything!
Anyway, i gotta go to get a card so i'll talk to you later in the day0 -

vixarooni - yeah, My MiL tried that on me a few times too. My answer was to get all the "important dates" that she'd forgotten to mention until the day before/day of/day after, put it on my calendar at home and always reply "yes, we've got it sorted!" the next time. ... Might take a year to get it all sorted but it's so worth it when you remember and she forgets -I'm so evil:DGoal for 09: Get fit and foxy. target weight 11st. 5/80.Get out of dead end job and work for career I always wanted.0
