Hi again folks,
Had a bit of a meltdown this morning about the mess that the dog carries into the house on her paws from the bog that is currently my back gardenand being realistic about how much I'm able to look after her and give her the care, attention and exercise she needs. .. the long and the short of it is, I've asked a friend to look after her for a few weeks to see if I can live without her, if I can, I may have to rehome her. If I can't I'm going to have to find a way to compromise with everything or learn to live with things as they are now.
My OH thinks I'm overreacting to both the mess and giving up the dog, but it's not him who walks her - it's me, and I work 9-5 x 5days per week and have other responsibilities with DS too. Something has to give and it's been Sasha up till now, it's not fair and I can't bear the guilt any longer. The worst of it is, she's my wee infertility dog, she was my baby when I thought I couldn't have one and saved my sanity at a time when I thought I was going off my head. - Why do we get so attached to these wee animals.
Anyhow, I haven't felt like eating much today (cried for about 2 hours) so I guess the diet is going well! I still have a sore head so I might go for a little lie down.
Hope you're all well and well planned for the week ahead.Goal for 09: Get fit and foxy. target weight 11st. 5/80.Get out of dead end job and work for career I always wanted.0 -

I do feel the answer is the word trust yourself, I don't, I have a greedy pig gene:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
I think you're completely right Victory, the trust is the key. I have a v difficult family history with food (both my mum and dad) so I can completely relate to what you're saying. But it is possible to break the mould, with hard work and determintation (which as Serendis says, you have in bucketloads) but with a different focus. It has been very challenging but I am so glad I've done it/am doing it.

Caught up now!
Happy Birthday Poohbear, hope you are having a lovely day!
It was my mum's 60th yesterday Vix! Houseful of food and people - didn't drink although the G&Ts were calling (given up for 6 months, initially).
Welcome to Floozie!
Bluecorn, sorry you've felt like that, it is hard on here and I always struggle to remember who said what (medical hazard:rolleyes:). Just shout louder and we'll definitely respond!:D Great news about the bump evening out your household, can't be overrun by women!
Delly, sorry you're having a tough day, perhaps things will seem better with some rest. It's so hard when things get on top of you but you'll work out what's best for you and the dog.
Missy, how was your meal? What a treat!
Well done Serendis on the loss, great stuff! Denbo, good luck for this week, glad the chart is encouraging you.
BB, I am so very glad you're not in hospital, been worrying about you. Sorry to hear about the bedrest, my heart goes out to you on that one; really hope the little signs turn into real improvement soon xx
Knackered here, hoping for an early night and rejuvenation in the morning (pl-eaasssse!)The 1,000 Day Challenge:Feb 16, 2016500/30,000

I read a couple of things last week about slimming and thought I'd pass them on.
Statistically last Sunday Jan: 13th, was the day most new year slimmers give up their resolution of dieting.
So if you made it past then, you're in with a good chance of sticking with/to your diet. Well done :j
Also if you use a smaller plate (which we've all heard before) you'll eat less ...................... BUT if that smaller plate is blue, you'll eat even less.
Blue being makes it the most unappetizing colour psychologically to the brain for food.
Put your knife and fork down between mouthfuls of food, very hard, had to work at this one, and always leave a little food left on your plate.

We are all in the gutter but some of us are looking at the stars........................0 -
Hugs to you Delly
Happy Birthday Poohbear
Well done Debtmummy!
Bluecorn ---- I really really don't like pink and i'm a girl (well an old girl)
Denbo, you certainly WILL lose this week. It's my first week ever of doing the chart and I need everyone to lose please so that I can have lots of practice entering those numbers.
Really rather scared of doing the chart adn b&!!$ing it up, depsite the clear instructions I've been given and offers of advice. Just so I'm clear .... the peeps who posted a loss just after the chart went up on Wednesday .... BB added your results to week 3 ... so your total will be right but you won't actually see the numbers you sent in. Is that OK or would you like those losses put in as week 4? (that's andie, denbo, julesgr, skintcatt and seren)
PS this is a 5 week month so we've all got a sporting chance of success!0 -
hmmm, v interesting lilaclillie! I was always told not to use blue plates for food photography because it makes the food look weird so that's nearly the same thing. Apparently there is no blue food (naturally anyway) . . or is there? Any takers?
bluecorn, nice to hear you have some testosterone cpoming to the family, hope you have got the train set ready!
Delly, what a tough decision. I'm sure you'll do whats best for everyone. I'll be thinking of you m'dear
Happy Birthday poohbear! Have fab day!
I've had a fantastic day - I've had some serious hassles over the last 18 months as secretary of my re-enactment society - schisms and people leaving and all sorts of bad stuff happening including losing access to the bank account with all our money in it. today I picked up the cheque which means that not only we are now solvent again, we are positively rolling in it! and as we are a NFP society, I shall have to spend some at the markets in february! I love shopping with other people's money. So far my list includes a tent, some NICE BIG JUGS, some medieval money and some benches to sit on. V happy!0 -
