  • Evening all, I'm back from the cinema, went to see AVP2 which I loved.
I was very good and didn't by any sweets, instead I took in three satsumas & ate them! I did feel a bit weird sat there peeling them!

Bails there is a diet book I once read called 'Beyond Chocolate', which is based on the same thing your doing. It says if you deny yourself something (ie choc cakes, crisps) you will only crave it more and end up pigging out.
It tells you you must listen to your body, it will tell you when you are hungry, and when you are full.

So quiet here! It was the same last Friday... am I missing something? :p

Thanks for posting BB, good to hear you can remain at home. Just wish I could magic you better :(

How are your New Year resolutions going, those that made them? WL related or not?
  • bails your story is very inspiring.
I have the Paul Mckenna book and cd but havent listened to it for a while, although it did help and if nothing else I was always so relaxed i would be asleep before the end.
I always manage to bypass the good intentions and ignore the good voice telling me I'm full and I don't need that chocolate.
Keep up the good work all of you!
Well done Vix, hope the results prove how hard you've worked. Good luck
    Catch you all tomorrow x
If you don't have something nice to say don't bother saying anything at all.

  • Lost another 1 LB!!

Wooo!! I may attempt to be good this week to see if I can speed up the loss some...another 2lb and I'm through a stone barrier and back to what I was before i fell by the wayside last year...

As for new years resolutions Missy...The WL is ongoing but I am slowly coming to terms with a lb a week...especially as last week featured a lot of bread and the week befor a lot of shortbread...I am gradually gearing my food towards lower cal and healthier options but if I can do it whilst incorporating less food then I thin I'm much less likey to slip up afterwards...

The gym is going welll...I've burnt 1,516 calories =
    18 Apples! trans.gif9,122 kgs. =
    5 Elephants!Over 6 workouts...hopefully I can keep the visits to a relgious 2 a week....

I have also managed to walk up the stairs more at work...I've managed to only use the lift three times this year so I'm quite impressed by that....

All minor things...but soon it will add up
    Have a good day!

  • yay! bb gets to stay home abd be pampered! V pleased for you. Had a delicious meal out last night and i think it was all relatively okay . . . went to Dexters and had a 50% off food voucher so we splurged ( or not in fact!) I shared a tomato and cheese(HEA) fondue to start with with crudites and counted syns for some tortillas. Then steak and lobster ( ooh, how decadent) with new pots ( HEB). There was butter on it so I synned that too and finally a milkshake to share(HEB) I was dead proud of myself. OH has been helping me clean today as he is off partying this weekend so i'm making myself a massive pan of nigella's rapid ragu - onion, lamb mince, garlic, tomatoes and lentils with grated cheese on it. I can do this healthy thing if i put my mind to it! Hope everyone else is having a good day. Bails, I do like your philosophy and I know how hard you've worked to get it - you're doing great! And yay for Vix - no more exams! We've all got our fingers crossed for you.
